All these Nwakali slander. Is it not the lad that had given 3 accurate long balls in this same half and even had a driving move just now setting up iwobi on the wings?

His distribution was very tidy and he alongside Iwobi made us keep the ball more in the middle.

We struggled to do this in the first half. Iwobi and Nwakali steps in and we were neat in pass recyles but ofcos people that don't know ball must slander.

Superficial observers. grin
Many of us don't know what it means to recycle a ball. One must not make a forward pass once he gets a ball. That guy was brought in to stabilize that MF and he did his job well. Recycle the ball and make forward pass when necessary and keep it simple and tidy.

And on Sadiq. His performance vs Egypt was way better than this today.

Today, he lost balance. Couldn't muster a decent pace. Come on. You are better than this.

Well, Awo is clearly first choice CF at this tournament for good reasons.

SuperNerd, please

Thank God you're his friend, tell him to stop keeping ball in our half abeg. Other players are moving forward, Nwakali dey give foolish back pass

No even try put he and Iwobi in the same sentence, except you want to compare how good one sub was and poor the other.

The only person that did worse than Nwakali in all the subs was Sadiq

Chief this is cap, Nwakali played nonsense. For all the talk about him being creative, he’s probably should the last person killing attacking moves. I have sense enough of the guy and the coach should stop playing him. He’s just not good enough, I’m sorry

Nooooo... they can see he was playing deep in the middle and they were still expecting what exactly? A Maradona stunt?? See ehn... if people don't like you, they just don't like you.

They will always yarn nonsense instead of watching to actually observe the game. We were much more tidy in our Middle game plays when Iwobi and Nwakali came on than previously. They won't see that. In the first half, we were horrific at that.

Nwakali also needs international caps for countries like England that have laws in place against players who don't have international caps. Sadiq , olayinka also needs international caps.

Nwakali just came into this game to put pressure on the team. Eguavoen should stop getting too sentimental. Why didn't he bring on Frank the Tank instead of this back pass specialist? Because the only reason he made the squad is out of Eguavoen's love. Nothing else. Ndidi was frustrated with him at one point.

I like the way our fullbacks drive with the ball(especially Aina), very impressive. You can tell these moves have been practiced and mastered.

Full back drives with the ball, dribbles towards the middle, dragging the opposing full backs inside, creating space for the wingers before releasing the ball. These are the tiny details that are making the difference.

Either he was playing to instruction or he has lost that spark. I would go with the former. Time has a way of sorting things out eventually.

Don't worry , Nerdie. Nobi match wey I dey use my eye watch so ?

Statistics will show how many foot he put wrong. Nwakali is more threatening from his DLP position than some forwards in the games. I saw the beautiful dribble which Iwobi messed. In fact his handling of the ball brought total calmness.

Some of these football watchers can be danm funny.

But honestly that low cross from the right , what the heck was Maduka doing there? Was he trying to hold onto the ball, then changed his mind ? While the box was quite crowded? That would have been an easy tap in for any Sudanese player.

Tellwhat:
Osimhen and Napoli really mess up

Osimhen suppose dey light up this afcon. Most likely would have scored a brace or hatrick

I hope our next match this Sadiq chops bench for the entire 90mins

Also if Egypt draw or lose against guinea. I hope we see a totally different starting lineup against Guinea Bissau. I have a feeling that Ejuke guy is a gem. Would be nice to see Ejuke, Ebuehi, Frank, Olisa ndah, semi ajayi and onyekuru

Ejuke is a gem

I want Ebuehi to start next game also

Stop trying to turn black to white.

Did you see the number of times he lost possession, when he was under no pressure. It's obvious he plays in a slow poke league. And his football intelligence is lacking as a consequence decision making is poor.

Nwakali and Sadiq have shown what they have to offer.

Please let others who are there show what they can do. Players like Onyeka who should have been on to maintain thngs as well as Onyekuru, Olayinka and l want to see if Ajayi brings more than Omeruo (because he is suspect) his ball distribution should be much better and anticipation.

We miss Osimhen. His directness and ruggedness would keep opposing defenders really busy. The tactics of trying to close down our winger will fail woefully should Osimhen be here.

That ruggedness caused led to his injury..
