This our coaches self, good list but seeing onazi on the standby is no way encouraging younger talents like alhassan and onyedika that are doing fairly well for their respective clubs

Placing the above mentioned duo on standby will encourage them to do more in their clubs as well as showing them that they re being monitored by the coaches of the national team

Even bonke self cheesy

You are just looking for every opportunity to slander Eguavon....
It is a good list..
Bassey made the list even though some of you claimed that Eguavon wanted to drive out the foreign borns for local players..Where are the local players?
Amoo also made the list, meaning he is highly rated..
There's also no Nwakali, after you predicted that Amunike and Eguavon would give him a free pass into the team..
Try to dey appreciate somethings...
This is a much better sqaud than the usual defense packed list Rohr used to give us...

Yes because its FIFA match not CAF game

It's still a CAF game...
Every football confederation organise their world cup qualifier their own way..

It will be shown on supersport...They have resolved their broadcasting issue with CAF already..

So the board went to Turkey, ignored the league's best DM in Obinna Nwobodo and went for Onazi who has made just 4 league starts all season in League 2.

The same reason Shehu was making the main list from the Turkish second division

Onazi wey don go Saudi division 2 cheesy cheesy

Nothing wey we never see for this call up before..

But being on standby is more understandable than having Shehu being on the main list while in the Turkish second division.. Or clubless Musa..

I think Doherty has some level of influence on this. Firstly, Eguavoen did attend his live sessions during AFCON. He also heavily supported him to retain the job. Post AFCON he was the one who first started talking about recalling Onazi, before he met with Eguavoen and Amuneke in London.

Unless Desssers somehow moves to a big team, I don't think he'll be called up anytime soon. It's a pity.

I don't really have a problem with Shehu, because Ebuehi, the only competition has not proven to be consistent at club level.

If there is a quota that calls for an ethnic balance in the Super Eagles, it makes sense that that position is used to fill it.
