I'm really happy okoye is out,he doesn't inspire any sort of confidence. Hope uzoho shows he's still the number 1 gk of the super eagles.

Perception is perspectives and that's created from personal experience and understanding.

It's mostly emotive and not objective.

I've watched the never ending crucifixion of Okoye all his good work forgotten for one perceived mistake. A mistake that was a catalogue of errors concluding in a left hand ✋ that just didn't have in enough strength to divert a ball that bubbled before he could reach it .

The preference for Uzoho is based on what ❓ what inspires confidence in one is still perspective based on emotive preference .

I've not seen one person break down by calculated measured assessment what Uzoho does that makes him better than Okoye. There is not one objective based assesment, just preference.

If Uzoho was so good , he should be first choice goal keeper and outstanding in club and league albeit it a backwater league rated close to 20. But is he ❓❓

Too many are quick to castigate and harangue Okoye all for one lapse.

Let's now see what Uzoho will do in this match, the value of something is only appreciated when it's not there.

I think 7-1 in the days of Westerhoff with Yekini scoring 4. If my memory serves me right, I think we even played with make shift shorts as they cut the tracksuits and turned them to shorts.
E don Taya me. I see teams smaller than SE doing bigger scorelines and we just no wan join, especially as we've seen lots of opportunities to do just that.

He can dye his hair green and white, he is at best very average and does not give me confidence , l see him as a weak link.

I am looking at our forward line and all I can say is that, we’re too talented upfront not to showcase our talent to the world. Eguavoen please select the right balanced formation especially in the Midfield

You are right Chief....
At least if he goofed in one match and perform in the other matches,we can all agree it is one of his off days but no,he is always shaky in every match. Isn't that why Akpeyi was relegated to bench? That he is shaky and doesn't ooze confidence....What is good for the goose should be good for the gander too na
Yes he can be pardoned if he has off days.

The thing is that we quickly label criticism as hate. For me, I really do wish Okoye comes good because if he does, it's all for our pleasure. Thing however is that he's not been commanding since he became number one. Kog45 presciently said it during the Afcon match against Egypt when the buzz was high, that he's afraid Okoye will cost us the tournament and that was what happened.

I wish the young man all the best. E just be say e dey make me panic. I can endure otu attacker, otu winger, otu midfielder. But I cannot endure otu defenders and goalkeepers for obvious reasons
Nobody hate Okoye but we need to say obvious....Maduka has not had any significant outing for eagles to justify that he is numero uno.

Nigeria have produced good national team keepers from Emma Okala,Peter Fregene,Joe Enrico,Amusa Adisa,Patrick Okala,Best Ogedegbe,Peter Rufai,Wilfred Agbonavbare,Vincent Enyeama and Carl Ikeme and I want to say I can only compare Alloy Agu to Okoye Maduka cos nothing spectacular about Alloy Agu throughout his career.....I remember how fans were always furious seeing Alloy Agu picked ahead of talented Christian Obi in Moscow 85 and when Westerhof came it was the same Agu but it was obvious he was not better.Good Agbonavbare came to the rescue during US 94 qualifiers and Rufai later made it as number one during Afcon and World Cup.

Truly Maduka is young but till today I still find it hard how equally young Uzoho with world cup experience lost out to fellow average keeper like Maduka with no single remarkable display in GWG.

We should expect unsportsmanlike conduct from the Ghanaians I am very confident about it. In the reverse fixture, we must amplify whatever treatment that the Ghanaians do to us

Lol.. This same scenario reminds me of when we were about to play Tunisia. Some peeps here bragged and underestimated the Carthage eagles.. They have started again..

I just hope that it is only the fans that are underestimating Ghana and not the players because a derby is a derby. It's 50 -50... Kumasi is a crazy ground to play.
Why shouldn't we brag. Even the Ghanaians that are relying on history rather than talent are bragging so why shouldn't we brag. Our nairaland bragging has literally no effect on the performance of the team. Even after bragging and they later lost, no lele na into the next match. No use pessimism deny your self of normal joy

No one is assured of the number one position. Na injury make uzoho miss him position, okoye fit lose him position based on this sickness.

I don't have anything to say about enyimba's first choice goal keeper not getting a call up. But you see onazi's case, it would be another negative uproar if he replaced Ndidi because NFF knows the supporters already see his invite as irksome.

Hmmmm....John Noble over Ojo,nothing new,Rohr started this inviting Ezenwa a third choice keeper in Enyimba then into eagles and also John Noble even when he lost his club first position...Eguavoen continue where Rohr stopped....question to Alloy Agu to answer cos he served Rohr and still serving Eguavoen..

Really surprised seeing Onazi on the provisional list as standby and injury to Ndidi,Egu ran to Bonnke who was not even in the list, damn confusing.

Let's just be hopeful against Ghana

You people should stop making it look as if some set of fans hate Okoye...

We don't hate him...he has been shaky throughout all the matches he played for us so nothing wrong in getting worried about him manning the post in a crucial double header with our rival.
Add to the fact that the person sitting on the bench has not really done something wrong other than being injured.
We expect him to be better than Uzoho at least...

The thing is that he has been shaky and that’s true

Now what’s the problem with you guys that he is sick and out of the game ?

He is shaky and deserve the criticism, he has been out of the game and some of you still choose to criticize him when I was expecting some of you to be happy low key

Where is purple cow self ,I haven’t seen his comment this morning abi dem don tie am rope grin
