Joebie:
He was available for selection before the 2015 U17 World Cup.

Amuneke publicly said he doesn't believe the hype. The boy should come down on his own and compete with the others.

No official invitation. lol

Yeah. I recall.

I have issues with Amuneke's players selections.

The next U23 coach would really need to do justice with players selections. We currently have a large pool of 18 to 20 years olds that can take the world by storm at the 2020 Olympics.

Listed Left-Wing as main position. Also, Attacking midfield and Right-Wing
A good prospect then.
Will follow him henceforth.

I think Siasia is our best at the U20/U23 level.
Amuneke has already said he is done with underage coaching.
I'm satisfied with Manu Garba for U17 if he goes back to his old ways of doing things.
And Danladi Nasiri as U15.

There is no need to change what is already working.

But Siasia too has his own o.

He is no doubt an excellent tactician and his teams typically play total football.

But my problem with him is still players selection. You know he always keeps faith with "his boys".

Manu should remain U17 coach while Siasia takes the U23. We'll shop for an U20 coach from amongst our experienced local coaches.

FLASHBACK: Omidiji follows me on Twitter. He even posted happy memories with the time he spent with Danladi. Today we have a different U15 coach.

Nigeria U15 Coach Hoping To Convince Omidiji To Play For Nigeria, Blasts Dedevbo For Messing Up Sister
Published: November 15, 2016
Nigeria U15 Coach Hoping To Convince Omidiji To Play For Nigeria, Blasts Dedevbo For Messing Up SisterNigeria U15 coach, Danladi Nasidi, is confident he can convince FC Dordrecht sensation Lateef Omidiji Jr to pledge his international future to Nigeria and not United States or Netherlands, but admits he faces a stumbling block after his sister, Sophia, was unceremoniously dropped from the Falconets squad ahead of the Fifa U20 World Cup.

Omidiji, who has been dubbed the new Luis Suarez by top scouts in Europe, has been training with the United States U14s squad at the National Training Center in Carson, California since Sunday, November 13, and is extremely happy with the training facilities.

“I have been making efforts to get Lateef Omidiji Jr to play for Nigeria, and efforts are still on, ” said Danladi Nasidi to allnigeriasoccer.com.

“Whenever the NFF call for camping, I will get him back. Since 2014, we’ve not had an U13 and U15 team, I have been pleading with them to bring this programme back even if it is monthly camping or friendly matches.

“Lateef has a passion for Nigeria, but his sister Sophia has been messed up. I am still begging him that this is his fatherland, I am positive we will get him back.”

Danladi Nasidi thinks that the Nigerian youth teams, Under 17 and U20, have not lived up to expectations in recent matches because the Nigerian Federation chose to ignore their conveyor belt, the U13 and U15 squads.

“The youth programme is the bedrock of any national team. Kelechi Iheanacho, Taiwo Awoniyi, Lazarus and Akpan started from U13, now they are the strength of the Super Eagles. That is why our U17 and U20 teams are messing up.

“U15 have friendly matches in Dubai at the end of this month until December, but we are not sure of attending, ” Nasidi added.

Meanwhile, Lateef Omidiji’s representative has announced that the whole world is watching how the Nigeria Football Federation handles the 13-year-old’s matter, and other players of Nigerian descent may not accept invitations to the national teams in future.

“There are so many Nigerian kids abroad waiting to see how it goes with Lateef Omidiji Jr, except Barrister Akinwunmi, they, the NFF, did nothing.

“Dembele is being chased by the Ivory Coast because they see the importance of youth. Eagles come from an egg.

“Then they chase Iwobi, Troost-Ekong and Leon after they play for the youth teams for other countries, we cannot have a true U17 team if we continue doing that,” he informed allnigeriasoccer.com.

Omidiji is expected to take part in a maximum of five games during the United States U14 get-together which ends on Sunday.

There is always a "his boys" factor. But let's not forget he gave many players a chance before Rio. If not for European clubs refusing to release many.

Is there any player you have in mind, he didn't give a chance?

He didn't give Olanrewaju Kayode a chance. Instead he kept faith with rookies like Awoniyi and Osimhen only to drop them later.

I even rated (till now) Kayode above Sadiq Umar.

Also Abdul Ajagun deserved a chance.

He preferred to play Sincere Seth at CB when Kenneth Omeruo was available for selection.

That's the "my boys" factor.
it seems most players from the U20 class of Turkey 2013 were not given a chance. (John Obuh boys)
Here is the list (Bolded were given a chance):

Okani, Ndidi, Madu, Shehu, Okorie, Aminu, Michael, Kayode, Ajagun, Gero, Agboyi, Usman, Falagha, Amaefule, Eduok (I remember had age discrepancies), Pyagbara, Orkuma, Osuchukwu, Egbedi, Agbo, Simon

Micheal Olaitan was on fire in 2013/14 season. His career has nosedived since he collapsed.

He is now a free agent

Usman was in the team.

Ndidi and Simon were exempted due to clubs engagement.

Michael Olaitan was still recovering from his then health issues.

Considering also the fact that Omeruo, Onazi, Musa, Nwofor, Azeez also played under Obuh he has produced a lot of talents and I feel we may need to reconsider him as one of our youths coaches. U20 or U23.

well Siasia is a confident coach. From his track record he is good tactically and hardly intimidated by the name of the opponent. All the coaches we have mentioned are good in their own right. I think the U23 coaching job is a part time one since te tournament is held every 4 years and there is hardly any activity at the U23 level besides Olympics preparation. Which is why I think Siasia should handle both. He has a good track record with both as well

Scouting is one thing. Coaching is yet another. Obuh can be saddled with scouting for us at all levels.

The man once renowned as the best winger in the Continent, Coach Finidi George tops the list of applicants vying for a coaching job with the NFF.

I have waited for a time like these.

I can't wait to see what he has to offer. We know his coaching philosophy will be a attacking one.

Siasia cannot handle both U20 and U23 because the 2019 Flying Eagles and 2019 AAG/ 2020 Olympics team will exist concurrently and play competitions concurrently.

The AYC qualifiers starts early next year and climax early 2019 with the AYC. The WYC takes place June 2019. Meanwhile AAG preparations and camping starts late 2018 with the AAG qualifiers to commence early 2019 and also Olympics qualifiers starts early 2019. The AAG holds 3rd quarter of 2019 and by this time the Olympics qualifiers would have reached an advanced stage already. The CAF U23 holds December 2019.

So you see, the U20 and U23 team will be active concurrently so they need two different coaching crews.
Players who excel from the 2019 U20 set would be invited for selection with the 2020 U23 team

Remember also how it was with the 2015 Flying Eagle and 2015AAG/2016 Olympics team?

Finidi George has applied to coach Nigeria's youth teams. With his experience coaching youth teams in holland and spain, he is a great choice. It is good that he has decided to come back home but i hope he remembers the conditions at home are not as ideal as coaching a youth side abroad.

I would give him the under 20 team to manage.

I hear Dangote going really vocal about acquiring Arsenal. Well, fair play to him.
Since he's a football lover, one cannot understand why he has not considered leaving a legacy in Nigerian football or sports in the shape of a world class academy in Kano. The Qatari's he's trying to mimick have developed a world class academy in their country, even Abramovich owns a football club in Russia and his company pays the salary of a world class coach like Fabio Capelo for the Russian NT.
For the touted amount acquiring Arsenal would cost (£2-5 Billion), a tiny fraction of that amount can change the life of Nigerian football for good.
he said his first priority will b sacking wenger
