I can't fault the coach. His formation is on point. We have been dominating this game so far. Just the strikers that couldn't score. Moffi twice, desser once

It still baffles me how people confidently clamor for an Npfl filled super eagles. It's a different ball game entirely!!!!
labas370:

Last time I said that all the npfl players are below average but some didn't agree.

At that striking department, moffi is minus 1, that player 3 is minus 1. Awaziem...

With the far distance between the wingers and the full backs, thus the lack of bite, i think this can be curtailed with wingback formations. I hate this same old approach. Its like no manager is adding anything new to the team whatsoever.

The Faisal #3 has been poor no doubt but I don't understand why a LB is started on the Right Midfield or right winger, that is baffling to me. Why also play Eguavoen 4-4-2 style, no DM or ball winning midfielder, Iwobi is being overworked clearly.

I agree, defending has been very poor until the last 20mins of this game. Then Moffi.... I hope Dennis plays better than what this guy's doing. This is looking like a game that Iwobi is doing both his job and Aribo's.

This fullbacks not easily seeing wingers to connect with must be addressed.

Came in to watch at the 24mins. Iwobi and Bassey doing fine

The DM can't interpret his role. Simon and wayward free kicks as usual

Ekong has to complain rightfully to this biased ref. Guy is looking like he's not hear to do us better, even in the obvious.

My observations so far

The right side of the attack is completely non-existent.

Moses should learn how to play with his fullback(Bassey) makes him more unpredictable

Cyril Dessiers is a good player Technique wise
Awaziem has been poor offensively, perhaps due to the fact that the right winger has been missing.

Overall I love the fact that they are showing commitment.
Bassey is a good player.
Iwobi has really impressed me too.

If left for me, i will accuse those that clamour for them with some selfish reasons. None of the NFPL guys is good. No wonder they haven't won anything on CAF champions league.

Is this this 3 that will bench chucks, Kalu, Dennis, onyekuru or ejuke. I don't get all obsession with homebased players

Honestly speaking, Moffi is yet to live up to the hype. I won't be surprised if he gets dropped after this set of games.

I like this new coach ..his reading of the game is very good. He should work on this early conceiving of goals. Seriously iwobi is turning into something else. I has unusual interpretation of the game.

That's why SE coach was outraged at half time.

Aina and Dennis need to come on immediately.

No d.m, the hole is obvious and makes it easy for Ecuador to counter..

Iwobi has been fantastic... iwobi and ndidi not being available is why we are not going to the world cup...

4-4-2 clearly isn't a favorable formation for the super eagles in recent times.
Let's assume this new coach is sticking to it because of scarcity of players, let's just assume.

As a fullback, playing down the wings shouldn't be much of a problem, most fullbacks were once forwards, the attacking mindset is there. He can contribute defensively too which be hasn't. I might be wrong though

Simon has probably stood over 100+ fk in a max 30yrd distance in over how many matches in how many years and he can't even hit on on target, talk more, score.

why the heck does he stand over them atall? Whyyyyy?

I'll be glad if JPes can address this issue. Some freelicks should be disturbing some gks. Mtchew

Never seen Awaziem play this terribly.

What an embarrassing goal to concede.

Could have had a penalty and the strikers could have converted any of those chances.

Was I the only one having problem with the Facebook streaming link? Thing just stopped.

Decent means bias? Yeah, I'll agree with you. Its too obvious he doesn't even want to hear our captain while in play. Naaah.

True, it's all selfishness

He's actually a left back, yet I don't see him disposing Zaidu or Bassey.

This test is good for our players mentality! We had a very good last 10 minutes. The slow start is understandable. I like that Iwobi role, we just need Ndidi or Onyeka to support him!

. I don't really see anything wrong with the formation. The guys are actually fluid with it. Just that the right side of the attack is no existent . besides the midfield battle has been relatively equal in my opinion. I like his reading of the game.

There's nobody in the team that plays FK in their clubs

Our forwards ought to start imbibing freekicks into their personal training
