Giroud doesn’t come close

Giroud doesn’t even have more headed goals than lewandowski or even Fernando llorente

Reportedly, it's only Enyimba that will be participating... 4 teams from Egypt, 3 from Morocco, 3 from South Africa, 3 from Algeria and 2 from Tunisia.. The remaining 9 teams are shared among the rest of the continent...
They should name it North Africa super league lol cheesy

Can't blame them though, a super league should consist of super teams. Others are not serious.

The South African players association released a statement kicking against this. For those with well structured leagues like South Africa, this initiative is bad business, talk less other African countries like Nigeria who won't get representation for the most part.

Anyone who thinks this is good for African football is simply short sighted. If this succeed (and it most likely will) this will move money away from the less glamorous CAF champions League, any right thinking sponsor would bail. More local leagues across Africa will bear the brunt.

To show how disingenuous these guys are, they would use zones for every other qualifier (save the male AFCON/Male CAF champions League) using the development of football across Africa as an excuse, but when it comes to something like this, they stick to ranking. We have incompetent heads in WAFU

Those folks at WAFU don't care about anything aside their pockets....I mean, it's West Africa...
Imagine countries like Senegal Mali and Zambia aren't represented..

Pinnick cares only for himself
Him and his VPs are using the NFF roles to promote their selfish interest in Caf And FIFA and not to promote Nigeria football

Even when Zambia issued a complaint in the last AWCON for what happened in their semi final match against South Africa for Nigeria Pinnick keep mute

Everything about this CAF super league smells of Ginanini Infantino... It's been alleged that he is the de facto president of CAF...Since CAF are broke...they have to dance to his tunes..

CAF will unanimously vote for Infantino for another term at the next FIFA congress

A super league is Africa's best bet currently.

Only problem is the logistics. Even USA run a super league.

If the Super League can be divided into regions just like MLS eastern and western conference, then traveling logistics will be reduced.

Two of Congo is bigger than Europe. And this is not even the largest country in Africa.

There are very few things functional about leagues in Africa today so I don't agree with the bolded.

The number one thing why our football hasn't grown is lack of investment. This is what the Super League should solve.

Well, I expect developed leagues to fight it. But forget it, business wise it makes a lot of sense. The only issue is where the money earned will be spent.

Like he pointed out, the super league could divert sponsorship away from the CAF CL and CC... What now become the fate of clubs participating there...
To be honest, not much clarity has been made about the structure of the league yet...

One interesting thing about the super league is that it will be zoned to a regional format.. But in this case, North Africa will play alone... West Africa will combine with Central Africa while South and East Africa will play together...

Na so North strong reach ..

Unpopular opinion

Luuk de jong is the second best header of the ball in the world ,only behind cr7

Giroud is numero uno even ahead of CR7. His heading technique is the best I have ever seen all time.

With years to come he will be up there if he keeps
Scoring headed goals ,he is still young ,I think he scored about 7 or so last season in seria A .

But active players with the most headed goals currently ,he isn’t even in top 50 .

Best in heading isn't measured by headed goals. The same way best in penalties is not measured by number of penalty goals, or best in free kicks is not measured by free kick goals. Ronaldo has more free kick goals (at least double) than Ward-Prowse, who would you prefer to take a free kick if both were in your team?
