You aren't being truthful. I listened to an Amunike interview in the aftermath of that WCQ 2nd leg failure vs Ghana and he laid out some of what he was trying to get across to the players and he termed it "Transition plays" and "constant movement into space" especially from midfield to attack.

So whatever nonsense anyone was complaining about is because they just weren't willing to listen and learn from the man since he wasn't the one in charge but Egu.

Also, Amunike admitted he didn't know of the changes to the First XI for that game. He just knew of it few hrs to Matchday on matchday.

Fact remains he is the only coach of local extraction that knows exactly how to address that SE problem of transition and midfield inefficiency. He knows how to utilise Chukwueze as well in sync with this transition play but nooooooo.... una must agend.

The man remains a world Champion who astounded/dazzled the fifa technical study group with his understanding and interpretation of the game at U17 level. They were stunned at how he effectively applied the DLP principle in sync with a mobile roaming 10 which also saw our wingers be at the end of attacking transitions alongside the main striker.

Fact is Coaches are hired and fired all the time. Even one of my favorite coaches, Julian Nagelsmann got fired from his Bayern job to be replaced by Tuchel. Does it mean he is no longer good?

Pep Guardiola is arguably the only manager who hasn't been fired among the elite coaches. So unless you are Pep, you will be fired and hired.

Marjoribanks:
What did he contribute when he was Equaveon Assistant? Even the players and journalists complained, he talk too much than actual tactics!

Your first sentence is untrue. Lots of pessimists have taken bank loans. Abi the bank go check their Optimism/Pessimism meter? So logically, that's not correct. I have seen pessimists still get money. The world still sees money fall into the hands of people who don't even know what to do with it.

And I no go pay you shishi directly. You fit go use am play your betting instead of teaching elfyπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Marjoribanks:
Nobody go borrow a pessimist money. He will bury the money under the ground instead of investing.
However, Doky, if you wan lend am no problem but you will pay me directly for his apprenticeship. lol!

SuperNerd i suspect chidera ejuke will be good in a 4 4 2 formation.
in your words, he seems to be good in the first and second phase of attack and not just
the third phase when closer to the box 18.
He is a more traditional winger
Also bright osayi samuel, ola aina and joe aribo will be good wingers in a 4 4 2 formation.
Football is not allways about who is better than who but the tactical characteristics of each player
and how they fit into a formation or system of play.

See what playing full 90mins for the S.E has caused when Victor Boniface, Gift Orban, Onuachu, Peter Olayinka, Yira Sor, Dessers, David Okereke e.t.c could have replaced him at 60 - 70 mins...

The headline is misleading and serving an agenda. Amunike yes was sacked but he is not the coach of the team.

TheSuperNerd:
To be honest, I saw the sack coming not through any fault of Amunike but due to the recent results I saw them recording in the past 1 month or so.

When Amunike took over, the team went on a 15 games run losing only twice. In a few of those games, he would be seen on the touchline dishing out instructions himself. I watched the one he handled from beginning to end himself with the Zanaco coach also there. The match vs Nkana FC on January 21st. They won 3-2. I have shots of that game.

But after this 15 games period, something went wrong. It is almost as if the team slumped and a disconnect between Amunike and the technical crew crept in.

To be honest, lessons will be learnt but take nothing away from Amunike's brilliance. He is still the man I want Coaching our current Super Eagles and no one knows those players more than he does. He is more attuned tactically/technically with the current generation of players than any of our current coaches.

during the 15 match period they only won 6 games tho. I’m situations like this it’s always difficult to reach a conclusion but the numbers don’t look good.

I am not sure if it's exactly the same o. Reports had it that Emma was a technical consultant and he initially was working remotely. According to Supernerd, Emma wasn't always on the bench.

He qualified Tanzania for the ANC after a thirty nine year hiatus. And if you say the afcon has expanded, Tanzania wasn't been back in the next edition after Emma left.

When d team was doing well immediately he was drafted into d team,we all praised him,na now una wan shift blame commot from him head

You are right, it's a dent on his records. I mean he has failed a couple of times, I don't think he was successful in Egypt and Sudan, he "probably" was fired from both jobs. However, I just wanted to keep the records straight that he wasn't the chief coach of Zanaco like the headline made it seem. But bottom line like you said, he was fired.
