how many 37 years old are still playing top level football? Do you know how many non-African players who were washed before 30? Are they age cheats too?

I remember when Mikel announced his retirement... Some people were asking why he retired when Messi who he played against at the 2005 u-20 world cup is still playing..
Be like say Nigerians want our players to draw inspiration from Messi and Ronaldo who are still play in their mid 30s .

Fact is, a lot of players loss their momentum in their 30s...

Maybe you don't know Rooney or you are trying to play down his world class achievementd.

Wayne Rooney is 37 started playing in the EPL at age 16 and didn't stop until 2018 ,when he was 32. Left the UK 🇬🇧 for a huge pay out in the MLS and played for two seasons. Came back and became player manager at Derby for two seasons.

After playing football atbthe highes level for 20 years I think he got tired . He could have continued but he doesn't need the money and the allure of management tempted him.

Who are the others, because is players with an outstanding career that went well above 30 and didn't stop until he was 35

Lol. You just diverted from age to number of years played as a professional...
You mentioned Mikel earlier in yoir post... Mikel started playing professionally in 2004, and with the exception of Stoke City and Middleborough, he played top flight football until 2021. Rooney played in MLS, Mikel played in China... 17 years as a pro

I think the intensity and physical demands of the game then are very different from now.

Players would regularly drink and have poor diet and did not train as much as well.

Our players don’t take diet and good eating habits seriously but it’s gradually changing for the better now thank god

Jose speaking on Gift Orban, Victor Boniface and Chuba Akpom.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e71hyWCy-qs

May God help us. This man's English is beyond horrible. If he cannot hold a simple interview in basic English, how on earth does he communicate advanced football strategies to his players?

How does he do the team talk? He might even be shying away from explaining his tactics extensively because he simply can't express himself in the common language!

It would be best to let him speak Portuguese and employ an interpreter to translate just as Saudi Arabia did with Herve Renard.

HERE and NOW for Chuba, but you no fit apply the same for Success and Iheanacho . Thank you!

Isaac is a wasteman and KC is no longer relevant he had 5 abysmally poor seasons and one good one at Leicester.

In the HERE and NOW Chuba is in a different level from KC and much better.

English is not his first language and if we’re serious we can get him a translator so he’s not the first coach to speak English
His English is pretty decent enough

As long as he gets his tactics right and the results comes in i don’t care if he’s even deaf and dumb he’s the one

Nacho and success can’t be relied upon and you know that

Nacho is ok player with potential of really good player

But his hot/cold is too much man can’t stay consistent to save his own life
When you least expect it nacho will catch fire

Success nothing to write home about

Akpom nko? what has he been doing before this last season in the second-tier?

Isaac Success was reliable this last season.. providing decent number of assists especially. A guy that raked 30 appearances in Serie A cannot be described as a "wasteman".

This is Success (Green) vs Akpom (Blue) measured in the last 2 years.. quality of league taken into account. We need to have a reliable benchmark based on metrics not subjective analysis that can be full of bias. I will rather use SofaScore.
