Taiwo Awoniyi is becoming too religious in the game for my liking. You lot should learn to keep your religions away from the game.
Someone finds a way to express his gratitude and reverence to the one he believed gave him the talent and success after all he has been through,
and u want him to stop because some don't like it.

And the earlier u draw a distinction between religion and Christian faith the better.

Religion involves humanity's attempt to reach to divinity or to God by himself,
While Christian faith or Christianity involves God's effort to reach out to humanity in love through Christ his son,who is also a member of the Godhead.

I don't see any problem in showing appreciations and his love for God in any form he chooses

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) budget for the year 2024 is N14 Billion+ (Fourteen Billion, Four Hundred and Ninety-Four Million, Four Hundred and Sixty-Nine Thousand and Two Hundred and Ninety-Three Naira).

The budget was approved at the NFF Congress in Uyo yesterday.

Chriskels ehn🤣🤣🤣

You no even complain about Rasheedat Ajibade. Awoniyi wey no even dey top 20 footballers that celebrate in such manner naim you dey tackle. Haba?!

We Africans dey learn for that area sef. Go American athletics or the Caribbean. You go quickly forget Awoniyi to complain about him. This is not new in football. The story behind him starting to celebrate this way is what you should dig up. You'll get his why. Till then, forget the mata.

No disrespect to African best player osimhen ,but Ronaldo will be proud of him for all these

Portugal are winning 6-0 and Ronaldo not playing to statpad as usual

Victor osimhen will easily score 4 goals against this yeye team Portugal is playing currently

Too bad Europe have more San Marinos Luxembourg then anyone else

Remember it's Sao Tome we played
Meliforme:
I must commend coach Peseiro for the dynamism in his 4-4-2 arrangement that saw Iheanacho and Lookman playing as attacking midfielders rather than actual wingers. This is wonderful. This is marvelous. Judging from the profiles of both players, and the quality surrounding them, it wasn't surprising seeing what they did with the ball.

We defended as a unit. This is a massive leap from the way we coordinate our transitions. It is not just in the manner of tracking back when we are without the ball, but in the fact that every player that started, had a remarkable contribution to defense.

We also attacked as a unit. We defended as a unit which helped our build up plays and the consequent transitioning to attack. With the exception of the defenders, every other outfield player that started the game made a key pass, showing how massively involved the players were whenever we attack. The way we worked our plays into scoring situations, revealed a burgeoning cohesion and coordination.

My commendations for Peseiro is not that we beat Sao Tome and Principe, but in the manner we did.

I didn't watch the whole game but there were positives to be drawn.
First, Osimhen is still the consistent fighter we have known since he passed the U17 trial in Lagos. The difference between him and Martins/Yakubu is dedication.

Second, Boniface is bringing something different to the table: quick thinking, excellent dribbling, ability to drop deep and regain possession, physical presence, creativity, etc.
I would love to see him partner with Osimhen or Awoniyi(when Vic is not available)

Third, Lookman is back to scoring ways. Dude is soo talented. Just needs to get with the boys.
Can we get another left-footed winger to fight with Chukwueze on the right?

It looks like Bruno has good dribbling skills. Let's see how he performs in subsequent games.

Good numbers but He has to score at important games I.e vs Ghana at WCQ if he wants to surpass the likes of emenike and yekini as the SE Goat in terms of strikers. To me, Quality Goals precede Quantity and if you want to become the Goat, you have to surpass the Present Goat accomplishment. I.e Qualify us for the World Cup, Win ANC, APOY, Highest goal scorer of all time. If he achieves all these for the super eagles, he will be the Goat

We have another international break to arrange a max of 2 matches from October 9-17

Then we have two WC qualifiers on Nov 13 and Nov 20. That’s a possible max of 4 grade A matches before AFCON. Considering Zimbabwe and Lesotho are not great tests we must utilize the FIFA window in October if we are serious about winning the next AFCON.

We all want him to break the record, even to score more than 50 goals just like other African greats like Eto and co.
But nothing is certain in life,
It will always be by grace of God for us,u could say with luck if u like.
Injury and other unforseen circumstances could affect his chances, which we pray against.

When Agwahowa came into the pitcture,I thought he was going to break it but he did not.
Martins came,I said this is it,but he could not.
Even Iheanacho, many believed he was going break it and even attain a legendary status as Kanu and co,yet none of those possibilities came to be..

So by grace of God,he is going to break it.
Compared to other footballing nation,37 goals is not that much.
How dare you compare Aghahowa and co to the Osimhen of today?

Osimhen has what those guys don't

Determination
Hardwork

+ immense talent

So why doubt if Osimhen can surpass Yekini

Sir it could be true. Many of them start to consider their option B country whenever their birth country refuse give them call ups

I remember reading one of the Liverpool midfielder I can't spell his name properly i think Courtis talk of his nigeria heritage through his father/grand father.

Berkely would have played for Nigeria had it been England delayed.

They see Nigeria as a big football country in africa and consider it a big privilege to be linked to such a country besides their birth country

Why Jpes no play Jordan now?
Have we gotten an option to Iwobi in that midfield because I saw Iheanacho and Lookman doing a good job today?
Who will Jpes pick to AFCON from Osayi, Aina and Ebuehi for RWB?
Who will Jpes pick to AFCON from Sanusi, Bruno and Collins for LWB?
We need quality friendlies before AFCON.

Keep soaring Super Eagles!

Just like Rohr this man obviously have a thing for players playing in Portuguese league

The major problem I have with Pasiero is his leaking defense and always conceding goals. Unlike Rohr he is not conservative wish he can go recruit and scout for players like Rohr it will help

Good morning Ladies and Gentlemen.
Thanks for keeping up with the good work here.

With Victor Osimhen, hitting the 20goals mark for the Super Eagles, is it right to start a comparison between Osimhen and the Legendary Yekini?
