@bolded and the rest... You have stated in a nutshell a Mentality I forged when I began my football followership journey years ago as a little boy.

It's not hard really to be a Naija football fan. This was always the way and still the best way. Reason why keeping up with our players is always a thing of Joy for me.

Some or several are still just realising this.

I knw him, played in the local league before moving to Turkey

The shouts he is getting is based on his showings in the Turkish 2nd tier last season and the season before (2021/22 and 2022/23). I find it funny because even a player from Spanish 2nd tier wasn't taken seriously by some of the shout makers.

Only very few speaking on Olawoyin now also recommended Nwakali and Alhassan.

He has played 4 games so far this season in the Turkish Super Lig after gaining promotion with Rizespor and he is indeed a decent player but it is utterly hypocritical seeing him recommended for Turkey 2nd tier showings while lads who did better in better placed 2nd tiers or leagues are getting less shouts.

I smell selective agenda by some of the journos.

i don't think Ejide ever failed to impress. Ejide was a very good keeper just that enyeama was better. I remember the game between enyimba and etol de sahel. Later in his career one of Nigeria coaches even prefer him to enyeama.

Ejide unimpressive showing in friendlies toward 2002 WC gave Enyeama invitation and he stole number two position with a friendly against Kenya….yes Berti Vogts preferred him but we all knew it was wrong decision and we saw Enyeama reclaimed his shirt and did well in 2010 and 2014 WC.

Used to be Moffi and Osimhen for me. Moffi had almost everything Boniface has and more. Then he turned down West Ham, Marseille and Lyon for Nice. I wonder who advises these players.
