Is it true the team that started against CIV had 7 home based players? If true, that's the power of a good coach. Believing in your players, psychin them up. Other coaches would have said if they are not in Europe, they are not good enough.

https://www.vanguardngr.com/2023/11/lets-go-back-to-starting-point-ahmed-musa-super-eagles-captain/

It's either youthful exuberance or a lack of knowledge on your part.

The times were very different then information technology was essentially non existent by comparison today.

In addition the naira if I'm right had not been rendered useless, nobody wanted to JAKPA.

Good players were not fanatical and obsessed about leaving Nigeria for anywhere and still played in the NPFL.

OH how the time's have changed

grin grin grin Stubborn till the end. I'm surprised you didn't also blame Ike Uche for the two goals we conceded, or the loss against Congo in Calabar, or the loss against Sudan away from or the draw with SA since he's the reason we didn't qualify abi?

TheGoodJoe:

Musa missed in the early part of the game and Ike Uche missed towards the end.

Finito.

Komekn you can pass your point without exaggeration or agenda.

Players have been leaving Nigeria for greener pastures for eons.

The last time the Nigerian league had a decent level of the talent was between the 1990s and early 2000s even then barely two or three players barely made the first starting XI most times.

Keshi invested time and effort into grooming home-based players at the end of the day he still went for the tried and trusted foreign pros.

Nice goal and happy for him.

Hopefully this boosts his confidence to reclaim his spot in the starting lineup and he keeps on the form for the club.

For the national team, I don't know who to blame for the forwards not scoring like they do for their various clubsides.

I have a question
I believe midfielders, defenders should flood the list
Bring back pacy wingers like Ejuke maybe
Nigeria should go to the Afcon 2023 tournament with only 3 centre forwards.
Kindly list your 3
Pls note that you shouldn’t include Iheanacho as a CF

Here are my 3
1. Victor Osimhen
2. Terem Moffi
3. Gift Orban

3 different types of strikers
You will get the best from this mix
This mix will get you the trophy

No Sadiq here
No Boniface here
No Awoniyi - injured
grin

Peseiro please take out sentiments and select this
Iheanacho - SS
Share yours guys

πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ I love d exchange of ideas but that is by the way side. I keep on hammering it dat nff is our problem and dey are a disgrace to football administrators worldwide.

When Falcons protested at last FWC, we were told their participating fee we be $60k but I was reading in d past week dat they were only paid either $45k or $40k, and my β€œfathers” in d house are silent?

Our players retuned back to base, have started scoring and we are not asking what could be fundamentally, administratively and β€œcoaching- wisely” wrong when they come for national duties?

I will go full throttle during AFCON on nff with Ijebu epistles if SE did not perform.πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‡

The game is clear. I already stated it. World Cup qualifier that stopped Nigeria from qualifying for the World Cup under Keshi. Uche had a good opportunity and skewed it. Meaning he was not a guarantee for our success.

Finito.
We were at the world cup in 2010, 2014 and 2018. This effectively covers Keshi's period as a coach. So which WCQ was Nigeria stopped?

I tire. If that guy was strong, he would have been a better striker than Osimhen because he's more skillful. He can dribble. Osimhen doesn't.

There are many things to fault the NFF on, the reduction in the falcon's payment isn't one of them. The same article you read explains why that happened. FIFA is solely responsible as they had an agreement with Australia to tax whatever price money teams that played in Australia gets. And since Nigeria played their games in Australia the falcons sadly were taxed. NFF isn't the culprit here.

Golazo! What a strike! Really happy for Sadiq that he has broken his duck after months of work and grueling struggle.

Hope this turns out to be a change in fortune for the young man and it's not just a fluke goal.

Still more work to prove his doubters wrong but this is an optimistic start.
