The bounce of the ball was deceptive.

Very few goalies will save that.

Good to hear JP give SA their props for the organization the brought whilst also acknowledging the shortcomings of this 3-4-3 system.

Sad, Onyeka is out of the finals.

I had a chat with a southie friend on fb and bobo confessed that he didn’t see his team winning us

That they re playing more to the gallery and that we Dey play business/tournament football with experienced and exposed players plying their trade in top tier European leagues and clubs

That the edge we had was that we had big game players that were not in any form of pressure playing in a game of this magnitude

Baba even confess say their keeper no good just that CV players made him seem like prime Peter Cech 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

The guy was so pained on why their players don’t leave their league to play and gain experience/exposure in europe. He said that SA players do hv offers from good leagues/clubs in europe but refuse to leave their league if the difference in pay is around 5k-10k euros.

I tell am say that is the issue with SA national team and the reason they won’t achieve anything in global football. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

If a team could reach final after loosing it's first team to plane crash, then nothing stops Nigeria from achieving same or even surpassing it, with just few injuries.

Can Peseiro be another Waldrum? He can. 'Never underestimate a man who is down'.
Peseiro is injured.

And our injured Peseiro did it.

Like Peseiro like Waldrum.

Next is world cup qualification.

I love the fact that we won RSA going to work cup qualifier later in the year.

Finally, it would be unfair to football, if CIV end up champions.

Osimhen scored Nigeria's first goal at this Afcon and I think he will score Nigeria's last and decisive to lift the title. Maybe that is what destiny has for him.

Time will tell.

But he scores or not, Osimhen and Nigeria will be Champions.

Maybe. He is a destiny child

According to Supersports, King Kong Ekong now has 4 goals in 15 AFCON appearances. That's crazy for a defender. Massive respect 👏👏💪

Yusuf is a DM/CM and DM's are trained to take short and accurate passes.

In this match, Iwobi was taking risky long passes instead of short passes..

And again once Aribo came on SE lost the midfield.
Truly I don't see the usefulness of that Aribo in the team. Or is it just me?

the Supersports studio analysts mentioned they hope to see some of the current good players in their team in Europe which shows it's a desire they all have to see their players in Europe

Here is my prediction:

We would need 2 goals to see out CIV in regulation time. Else, forget it.

Peseiro is now the first foreign coach since Bonfrere Jo, in 2000, to lead Naija to the AFCON finals

Nigeria have now won 3 successive AFCON penalty shootouts, a run that started in 2006 (v. Tunisia), 2010 (v. Zambia), and now 2024 (v. South Africa)
