Long story.

Simple, a master of La Liga promoted Iheanacho and played Iheanacho in his team. You do not know jack about technical play when compared to a Legend like Pellegrini who has coached and groomed some of the respected talents of the La Liga.

The rest you are talking is long story.

You can write Algeria until tomorrow. Those that matter, the coach of the Algerians and a respected journalist there told you Iheanacho was good. You can shout poor from today until tomorrow. Those that know more than you have made their points.

Finito.

ok. Name two players that Pellegrini groomed in either Malaga or Madrid. I have you cornered here

so, you have been watching highlights to count imaginary goals grin......hahaha, bros, I commiserate with you. It must feel terrible to have a failed prediction

we actually didn't win the game. And sounding ridiculous isn't going to change the fact that we were poor against Algeria now will it?

Just look at. Why Madrid? Let me give you one name groomed by Pellegrini in Malaga.

Isco.

Go and read on Pellegrini before arguing.

For you to even ask this question and talk cornered is nothing but laughable.

this I am not arguing with anymore but isn't it silly for us to assume that the game against Algeria was a good game like Safarigirl is trying to make us believe right now?
where did I say we had a good game against Algeria?

Why are you twisting narrative to defend your failed prediction? Is it not you who claimed before the game that we would be whitewashed by Algeria and Argentina?

Thank God you cannot even say a word about the Argentine game....better hide your face

Romero of Argentina, Batshuayi of Belgium, Okazaki of Leicester etc

Batshuayi situation is far better than Iheanacho. Nevertheless, he could lose his spot if his situation doesn't change before June.

No be Okazaki dey keep Iheanacho away from the match day squad?

You guys are still going with best role behind the striker. Nacho is a forward and can play multiple roles. Depends on where the coach decides to use him.

At City, Nacho excelled, pulling stats that was among the greats of the game. I wonder how you want to argue against such performance handled by one of the Masters of the game. Manchester City played a huge role in Nacho's integration into the Super Eagles. No argument can change that fact.

Finito.

I am not even interested in his integration into d super eagles....dat is being myopic..i am more interested in his success as a human being and as a footballer....with his experience at city,d young man alongside his agents Shud av negotiated a team dat best suits his role....Samuel Eto'o took his time to master his art as a central forward as he knew his strength from an early stage and once told giardiola at Barca to not bother about teaching him how a central forward Shud move....Nacho may be versatile but he needs to concentrate on his strength now and can diversify later...Eto'o played mostly from d left wing under mourihno at inter and av played multiple roles but if he started out dat way, he may not av been d beast he came out to be.....the choice of club is key!

you see why I said I have cornered you. Isco was developed by the Valencia youth system and made his senior debut for Valencia. He was actually bought for a tidy sum by Malaga. So if Ceballos comes good now you will say that it was a madrid coach that groomed him?

Between now and WC SE will play about 5 matches. We don’t have the luxury of testing local goal keepers.
A WC first choice keeper should be proven and tested, not experimental.

I said that to show how Ezenwa was not qualified to be chosen ahead of local goalkeeper better than him.

However, Enyeama and Aiyenugba are my prefffered goalkeepers for the WC.

Working hard and improving is key. Not choice of club. Eto'o's Ego is something I hope our young players do not have. It went down hill for him after his fracas with Pep Guardiola.

it did. involved lots of sacrifices to the gods on mount olympus, reading of auguries and entrails of birds in short divination in the mystery cults and the temple at delphi. But its all a matter of perception: a thing might be true but it can be perceived as false. someone reading what i just wrote agreeing with you that greek mythology involved fetishism might still not perceive it as such but when i say our myths involved fetishism it would immediately resonate in their minds; thoughts of juju and babalawo would possibly float across their minds. its perception.

for example many people are hardly aware that the nations of europe were once steeped in idolatory and are in fact going back to their pagan past and thats why festivals like halloween are becoming mainstream. but we are all too aware about our own pagan past.

The free masons are very much active and alive in the UK.

There are quite a few other satanic cults with blood sacrifices and other satanic rites within them.

Which are my preferred players?

Na me make the stats out of the blues?

If there is no stats no argument but in this case, stats are there to provide facts whether you like it or not. You can't deceive the world but you can deceive your fellow ignorant Nigerians becloude by sentiments.

You really need me to start reeling out names. Sorry, I ain't got time for that.

Form your players who singlehandedly won leagues for their teams, another who kept against one of the best teams in the world 2 years ago, scoring fastest goals in leagues.

These are good players, I like them don't get me wrong.

Your dislike for the other players who are favored at the moment is what gets me off.

there are so many things working against us.

The most important of all is the fact that they have a new coach. Like theGoodJoe already pointed out, they will watch that first leg and realize that they could have won, they played a whole lot better than we did, they will duly blame it on the failed coach and look to impress.

If we on the other hand invite thesame set of players that we normally do, we will lose. What's there to play for? Who doesn't want to face Argentina? For now I am not concerned about the result, we most definelty won't win, but if we play well then I am fine, if we don't....

cc Safarigirl. This was what I said, if we play the same set of players we wouldn't win, I believe it was Mujtahida that pointed out that we might rest players and I added that we still wouldn't win. Guess what happend? The coach introduced Aina, Ogu, Etebo, Iheanacho, Nwakaeme(anyone else?) and we managed a draw. Get your facts straight

You still dont get it.You think I'm talking about world class class player.
For goodness sake, I'm talking about performing players.
That Teranga lions team had lots of performing players who bossed the French league 1.

Diouf, Coly were bossing it at Rc Lens, Tony Sylva at Lille, Fadiga at Bordeaux name them.... these guys were important players for their clubs prior to the world cup

Is it difficult for them to understand this simple thing?

Are you not being comical? You asked who did Pellegrini groom at Malaga, I gave you Isco and now you are talking of Isco playing for Valencia academy.

Pellegrini signed a boy from Valencia and groomed him into one of the best players in the World. Stop bending facts. Pellegrini groomed Iheanacho too. Will you say because Vieira worked with Iheanacho in the academy that Pellegrini was not the one who groomed Iheanacho.

Isco was groomed by Pellegrini. Funny you did not know that.

He had talent but he was not groomed. Iheanacho had talent but he was not groomed. That was what Pellegrini did for them. The grooming of Sterling happened under Brendan Rogers.

is it two teams or like 3 best second placed teams? If they take two teams from each group wouldnt that exceed the normal number?

The tournament has been expanded to accommodate 24 teams.

The groups are labeled A - L, so there'd be 12 group winners and 12 runner ups.
