Sir,forming injury?
I used the wrong word (forming)
Over playing the injury should be it.
I would do it, if I were to be in his shoes

You're not the only one, bro. I really can't understand what Arsene Wenger sees in Jack Wilshere!

As per Mustafi, the less said the better. The question I have always asked is, 'has Per Mertesacker became so bad that Mustafi has to play come what may? That dude has been having a stinker all season long!

In fact, the new regime can't come fast enough. I am not an Arsenal fan but I feel bad for them. To me, Wenger should've been let go 2 seasons ago.

O pari

come on good sir. jack wilshere is a good player. one of the midfielders I really fancy

can't you just say that the Atletico fullback was a stalwart on the day? I mean this is a team with one of the best defences in the world, Arsenal created chances, plenty if chances which shows that the team was doing okay, all they needed was a goalscorer, is it Iwobi that would have scored the goals? Welbeck remains a bigger goal threat than Iwobi any day
they had a goalscorer but athletico had a brickwall grin

Very on point !!!

But tactically speaking Arsenal could have won that game if they had sacrifice ball possession

you mean they should have sat back and invited pressure.

That's suicide cheesy

Impact players. Iwobi may not be a game changer cos he still has a lot to learn, but beat your chest and tell me point blank that he wouldn't have done better on the wing than Welbeck that kept passing back when he had space to dribble thru and do something. The three times he tried to dribble, he was dispossessed and one of such even led to the goal that Griezmann buried. Haba.

Iwobi would dribble that defender and at least due to pressure, can get hacked down in the PK box cos of the rough way those ATM defenders were doing. Pls.

Sometimes, it's not just about the best 11.

We have coaches and managers bringing on players that have just one contribution to a game even if they are bench warmers. we've seen that alot in the UCL.

Iwobi, would have made a breakthrough on that flank than a wasteful, less confident Welbeck any day.

Naa, Iwobi would not have made the difference.

Welbeck has had a good run of games anf scored a couple of goals. So he was favorite to start from that wing and favorite to stay in the game for 90s. Arsenal needed a winger that plays direct football and also scores. And that was Welbeck.

Iwobi is a kind of player that gives you possession but we had the possession already. We needed a player that could take on the opposition directly, and there was none on the bench to come in and make that impact. So Welbeck stays for 90mins

Yes Wilshere had an average game but who could have replaced him?

Arsenal had no bench yesterday, so there was no way they could have made any substitutions.

Besides, making substitutions in a game is not a must. You can switch tactics and formations without any player substitution.

Sir Kog45 you remember how I was saying that the young man was not fully fit for the match against Serbia? 7 weeks gone and the young man is just recovering. Bengine did say that this injury takes time to heal and this report proves him right
Muj,why 90 minutes for a player just coming out of groin injury?Rohr or Ebuehi's fault.

That's not tenable cos aggravating the injury can stopped the young man from WC,better to have him for WC than unnecessary injury that just need rest to heal.

See this beautiful goal ruled offside in the NPFL... so ridiculous.. And we wonder why away teams can't win.

Two ridiculous offside calls

We share same thought bro.
What a very diplomatic and intelligent statement from Ndidi.

It's simple better to beat Croatia and Iceland, get six point then round it up with Argentina in a relax mood than using Argentina with magical Messi to qualify from the group.

That's Ndidi word of wisdom.

These are not marginal offside calls... I can understand referees can get that wrong..

In both cases, the players were well behind the line of defence.. You can not even pretend it was offside.

See, this thing happens season after season. It is not going to get better until we take a serious look at officiating.

One of the reasons, we are not doing well in Africa is the fact that the winner of the league is not the best team.. Most teams just win at home and lose away.

You can not win away if the referees keep giving questionable calls.

This Rohr self... Against Algeria last year,he could have played Ebuehi instead of Shehu so we could officially cap him...
Against Serbia,he could have allowed Ebuehi rest and play Aina at RB. it would have given us the opportunity to see how Aina will fare at RB....
He made wrong calls and not both occasions

The point is the boy was not fit for the match. Why Rohr featured him is what I cannot answer.

True but he was deployed wrongly.

ATM was under siege for the better part of the game, move welbeck to the center of the attack with laccasete to play of him, with ur full backs whipping crosses.

That was a good defensive play by ATM.

chances were created so its not as if the game plan wasn't working. Welbeck was out in the flanks and chances were still created, what is the guarantee that if he moves into the middle that the same would remain the case? you don't change your team when they are on top.
like you aptly pointed out, Atletico played their game, and having one of the best GKs in the world helps too

Lille coach stated that the reason Enyeama has not been called back to the first team is because of problems with the club owners and not footballing reason.

10s of thousands of arsenal fans disagree with this your analysis. Funny enough, most of them that insulted and vilified Iwobi were the very ones saying that he would have made a difference cos of his dribbles which Welbeck the heck, couldn't offer. Pls we know that most of the players on the pitch were very tired. only a foolish coach would leave a tired Ronaldo or Messi on the pitch in the name of that they would still make a big chance at winning. Not to talk less of Arsenal players that if Ancellotti were coach, they would see the backdoor out.

Don't tell me here and now that you believe that Iwobi's game is solely for possession cos I won't agree atall with you.

They panic when the other team have more possession. so that would have been a very bad tactic.... especially against Atletico.
