A high profile game between Nigeria and Egypt has been agreed for next year as part of preparations for the campaigns of both countries at next year Africa Cup of Nations according to an announcement by the Egyptian FA.

The game will be played in Nigeria on the 26th of March few days after both nations who are through to the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations play their last game in the qualifiers series.

An agreement for both nations to parade their best players in the game to properly test their readiness for the AFCON which starts in June and early reports suggest the game could be played in Warri at the Stephen Keshi Stadium precisely.

The Nigeria Football Federation ( NFF) are yet to confirm the game but it’s a well known fact that they have been shopping for quality friendly games for the Super Eagles who are going to be appearing at the Cup of Nations for the ‎first time since lifting the trophy in 2013.

We know for the most part that anything goes in Nigeria. And to add to that there is no automatic birth data capture. If not for MRI I would never have celebrated any of our U17 triumphs. Let’s be realistic we are not a people of integrity. It is systems in place that drive a culture. Where that is lacking you have a largely negative culture. The latter is the case here.

Danielnino00:

I thought you were a professor of English language... how did u miss the "must" in my post eh?

The highlighted words below are enough proof already.

You are indirectly telling us that any player born in Nigeria is a suspect of age cheat cus the automatic data capture at birth,(which according to you is the major evidence to determine somebody's age) is missing in Nigeria.

I too think a move outside England is the best bet. But a side that keeps the ball on the ground and known to create loads of chances.

If Iheanacho keeps looking for the club that suit his style of play rather than adjusting his style to suit the club,I'm afraid it won't do him any good... Right now,we don't know if he is a 10 or a 9...

Rivals Nigeria and Cameroon found themselves at the opposite ends following the draw for the final tournament of the Total U-17 Africa Cup of Nations Tanzania 2019.

The draw held on Thursday night in the Tanzanian capital, Dar es Salaam, pitted the two-time champions Nigeria in Group A with the host country, together with Angola and debutant Uganda.

Cameroon, champions in 2003, were drawn in Group B alongside top seeds Guinea, Morocco and Senegal. Incidentally, all the four teams in the group are French-speaking, setting the stage for an exciting round of matches in the race for the two slots for the next round.

The draw watched by a packed crowd at the Mlimani City Conference Centre also had in attendance CAF Executive Committee members, Leodegar Tenga and Moses Magogo. CAF Director of Competitions, Samson Adamu conducted the daw and was assisted by captain of the Tanzania U-20 team, Michael Moris, and former Taifa Stars player Mohamed Adolf Richard.

The final tournament will be held from 14-28 April 2019 in Tanzania with the semi-finalists qualifying to represent the continent at the FIFA U-17 World Cup in Peru next year.

Group B looks a lot tougher

This idea of equal representatives from each region will lead to a weaker tournament.

Which repeat? Iheanacho best career was in Manchester City and Manchester City is a top club. If he had gone out of England to those top club that wanted him, Iheanacho would have done himself good but he went to a mediocre club because of British passport.

For many years now we we’ve been hosting AFCON twice in every 4 years, the Euro equivalent has been hosted once in every 4 years. If that did not help us get at par with them, why will this?

I feel that based on the way Simeone does with young talent, Samuel would thrive under him. That Vitolo didn't even live up to expectations, and I know the bigness of the club will be enough motivation for our guy to wana deliver.... So it's a win win.

Why can't they learn a thing or two from Europe nearby, that is about to kick-start a new UEFA continental competition asides the UCL and the UEL?

I now agree that the two legged stuff in the CCL is due to some factors, but can it be regionalized and then use rankings to get some good data to create positive publicity for clubs in Africa? Just suggesting.

Asin what is just doing go-slow for them when it's something that would take in lots of cash in return and help the publicity of our football. Everyone wins that way.

Sam rumors are true actually. Blending with guys that know how to attack inside the box is a plus. Atletico are good at that.

If he moves, he would be the MVP on the transfer market for Nigerian players if I'm not mistaken. €40m!! that's like £35m?!
