William Troost Ekong vs Sassuolo...

90 mins played.
77.3 % passing accuracy (Best among Udinese's defenders).
36 touches.
3 Aerials won.
2 tackles won.
1 key pass.

A clean sheet.

#RockSolid #Composed.

I couldn't see this match but from the analysis and what I saw in their last match against Lecce, Ekong is back to form. Dude plays with so much maturity. Seems every CB wanna be a Van Dijk, lately?

Lol.... Van Dijk na the Gold Standard of CBs right now naa... EA Sports' first ever 99-rated CB on FIFA in a Team of the year package. He deserves the reference. wink

Heracles Almelo striker Cyriel Dessers has reiterated that he wants to see out the season with his Dutch club amid speculation linking him with possible moves to teams in Belgium, Italy and Portugal in the January transfer window.

But he is aware that his future is not in his own hands as Heracles Almelo could accept a large bid from an interested suitor before the window closes for business.

In quotes carried by Voetbal Belgie citing Het Belang van Limburg, Dessers stated : "If there is a fantastic club on January 31 that is once in a lifetime , something can always happen. I don't decide that, but the club. I prefer to continue at Heracles. It is up to me to prove that the past half year was not lucky".

The likes of Anderlecht, Genk and Club Brugge have been credited with an interest in the former OHL and Lokeren starlet and he has admitted that he closely monitors the Belgian First Division A.

"I am sure that I will also be able to draw my plan in Belgium. I really love Belgian football in the sense that it is very direct and physical.

"Fortunately we are here now with a few Belgians (Lucas Schoofs and Dario Van Den Buijs, ed.) And after a few years I can finally talk about Belgian football again. About what Anderlecht, Genk or Standard have done. That is also pleasant," Dessers concluded.

With 12 goals to his name after 18 appearances, no player in the whole of the Netherlands has scored more goals than Dessers in the Eredivisie this season.

Did he ever play for the Super eagles because the club claimed he's a Nigerian international
Maybe they referred to him like that because of his birth place which is Nigeria and thus,

A Nigerian international he is and not an American-His New base

Olanrenwaju Kayode scored the only goal (a penalty) which turned out to be the winning goal for his side Gaziantep Gazisehir as they beat Budapest Honved in a club friendly.

Kayode just won't stop scoring. grin

St. Etienne vs Nantes.... Top Ligue 1 game coming up.

Moses Simon starts for Nantes. But that's not the news.

The Big news is that Moses Simon is likely gonna be deployed as a #9 today from the lineup shown.
Sorry

Did he finally played as a #9?

If Yes, how did he fare please but one thing is for sure,

No aerial duel shall be won as a striker though cheesy

FIFA and CAF are two different awards entirely. I wonder why the Cameroonians voted their own. It is only the Nigerians that were looking for statistics to deny their own. Quite unbelievable!
BascoVanVeli:

Nigerians just like drama. If I am Oshoala I would get on with it. When our coach and captain voted for a foreigner nobody complained because it was FIFA and God forbid she compete for that award. If coach and captain didn't vote for her what are we really talking about?

Yes. He is starting as a #9. The stadium is kinda empty though. Seems St.Etienne is serving a closed-doors game ban.

So far, so good not much from Simon. Game is only 15 mins old.

Thank god you didn't say one was an award and the other one wasn't. Or is it illegal to vote Oshoala for world best? I am like this, if you don't want to go all the way, don't go at all. Since you want our journalists to remove their brains and vote with their hearts why not ask the same from our coaches and captains?
