Mikel's Trabzonspor are back on top in the Turkish Super Lig after a 4-2 win over Rizespor.

Mikel Obi received his second yellow and was sent off with a red card after putting in a very decent showing. He was sent off for handball which gave Rizespor a penalty. The first yellow was for a foul.

Anthony Nwakaeme came off the bench in the 45th min (start of second half), scored one and assisted one. He now has 9 goals and 6 assists in 22 league apps.
Overall for the season, he is on 11 goals and 8 assists in 26 apps.

Collins finished on the losing side again as his side fell 2-0 to Mainz away in the Bundesliga but he was heads and shoulders above his team mates yet again. Easily the best player on the Paderborn team. Finished with the highest tackles in the game. Also scored highest in Interceptions and his passing accuracy was on point.

Collins vs Mainz today:

88 touches, 45 passes, 80% passing accuracy, 2 key passes, 8 tackles, 5 interceptions, 4 clearances, 9 recoveries, committed 2 fouls, 1 shot, 1 aerial won, 1 successful dribble, was fouled once. Whoscored OVR rating of 7.6

TheSuperNerd:
Bobby Adekanye on the bench as usual for Lazio vs Bologna. Game kicks off in 13 mins.

Jamilu Collins start for Paderborn away at Mainz. Awoniyi not listed at all. Game kicks off in 43 mins.

Leon balogun has been impressive today but unfortunately has been injured

This is a serious problem for him and his aspirations for a call up in March

Even Olympics is not likely to hold. AFCON might hold if the virus can be kept in check which I seriously doubt anyway.

From nowhere.... Unless Nigeria manages to contain the current outbreak before March,FIFA won't allow us host the games...
There's a good chance that the virus will spread to other African countries soon..

The Virus can be put in check if the WHO measures laid out are adhered to. Work is still on round the clock and vaccine will be out in a matter of a few weeks.

There is no actual "outbreak" yet. It is just one Italian national who came in from Milan on Feb.25. Nobody else is infected last time I checked and he is contained currently at the Mainland Infectious Diseases Hospital at Yaba, Lagos. Surprisingly, the NCDC in Lagos got the situation under good control. Not all things are "that bad" in the country after all.

Given our government's lack of sincerity and gross incompetency, there's no telling what will happen next...
Let's hope it's contained...

But like I said, there's a possibility that the games won't hold..

**Hope Leon's injury won't turn out to be that serious or needing a long layoff.

Not just Japan but Korea (South) suspended School activities for now until further notice and rightly so. They have recorded over a hundred cases or so and counting. And no, we cannot forget WHO bcoz talking epidemiology, WHO has a huge role to play in global medical matters like this.

Let us see how it goes before August but I can tell you this authoritatively. It is more prevalent in the far East than here in Africa and vaccines are already on the way.
Africa should work on not letting it in to spread among its citizens. Flights from heavily infected areas should be limited and every one coming in be MUST be quarantined. Imagine Kenya refusing to shut down flights from China. They are playing with fire.

In all, this Virus can be contained and people are even making recoveries daily from the infection. It is not that lethal. Recovery means the possibility % of a strong vaccine just keeps getting higher coz the antibodies of the best recovered humans can be harvested and used to boost whatever Vaccine hit the shelf. It is well.

I know some of the health professionals who are knee deep in this matter. Lagos will beat this easily. The NCDC in Lagos is well equipped. We boast 4 labs that can detect Coronavirus and determine the next course of action. USA has just six centres that can do that as at last count. This shows how ready Nigeria, Lagos especially, is actually for this. Most countries don't even have the means to detect this virus like we can. It is surprising but true. Corona is dead on arrival in Nigeria.

As for the game holding, time will tell.

Yea... We hope it is contained...
And countries that have case of infections should stop their citizens from travelling outside... Italy has already exported it to 11 countries...

The collective efforts of the world government are needed to contain it...

In Kenya,I read that the government is begging the Chinese nationals to turn themselves in for quarantine...just imagine !!
