Pep was clearly referring to Klopp's style of 'attacking' without the ball or pressing

Even Liverpool's fans know that Klopp is a counter attacking coach

kloop is a counter attacking coach yet plays a possessive game
mtchew confused being

All teams counter attack but when you want to classify them, it is on their strengths. When Liverpool play, they are hardly on the back foot. No matter the team. We can term them a counter attacking side. Real Madrid is difficult but if they meet Barcelona today, you can guess which side will do more of the defending. Real Madrid. But if Barca meets Liverpool, I bet it will be Barca on the back foot.

It is not about strength but about philosophy, that Norwich meets Liverpool and has less possession does not make them a less attacking based team

Liverpool dominated Barca because there was a gulf in quality and determination, doesn't change the philosophy of both sides

I have said this thing so many times we don't have the players to execute the fantasy football that people want. I was watching highlights of our AFCON 94 triumph Oliseh provided 4 solid assists as a DM oh! bar Mikel how many midfielders have we produced that come close to such performance then we beat our chest that we want to play attacking football as if it's by mouth

Can we play attacking football? Of course we can but it depends on opposition. Top teams will skin us if we dare it. If we think our wingers are fast, we should not get carried away. Top teams have defenders who'd neutralise them.

Go and watch our friendly match against Argentina. When we defended, they played us off-the-pitch. When we went on the offensive, we use them to dance alanta.

Watch the game against Ukraine. When we were on the offensive, our light shineth and they could not comprehend. When we want on the negative, they used us to dance swor.

We are far deadlier if we build an offensive brand of play. Whether top or small sides. We will win some and lose some. Just as it is happening now but with time, we would keep getting stronger.

With our current style, we maintain a low form.

Balogun is good with the ball. I may not compare him to top defenders o but in the Super Eagles, he ranks top among ball playing defenders. Watch our world cup qualifiers especially against Cameroon.

Put that team in this current set up and you will see poor performances. Let that team play in a Conservative tone and you will not believe they are capable of great things.

We need to grow as a team from training to live performances. Negative play will limit us from reaching our level.

How about you put this current setup, will they provide those kind of performances? Will Ndidi and Etebo dominate midfields like Okocha and Oliseh?

That is growing. Winning or drawing games on the negative play is deceiving yourself you are good. Three years down the line, you will see yourself saying this team is not capable of good play.

Give Siasia these boys and see them pull off things that will impress you. Siasia never had the chance to build a team.

There was a time Leicester City whipped City four when we were learning Guardiola's system. Now,
we are a menace to even top teams.

it depends on the team we're playing sha, There are teams we should never try to attack
With the team we have now we should be able to outplay/attack any African team including Senegal sef and be able to break any counter attack

Yes they will but it does not happen overnight but we will be heading somewhere. Are you not seeing Ndidi's transformation at Leicester? It took Westerhof five years to get that team gunning on all cylinders.

Also he continued scouting and looking for players home and abroad that will suit the system. Not benching an offensive side back for a central defender because of negativity.

That is a futuristic wish and has not happened yet,

Yet you are complaining that Rohr is not dominating midfields when they have not reached your utopia form yet grin

And it doesn't always end this way; it could be him scoring 3 and conceding 5. I hate games where both teams scores above four. E go just dey like say them go play for field.

It has not happened because we have spent years with a coach who has insisted on holding the team back with mostly negative play. You can not eat your cake and have it.

Okay to some extent but grew with the tournament. Either way, was not a team fully built to play in an offensive manner. They were capable of far better.

Go and watch the friendly when we had to fight them and went on the offensive. They were shocked at how good we played. We would never have believed we could play that way if we did not go on the offensive in the second half.

Are they good enough?
That should be the question.

If they are good enough, why are not seeing them in other top leagues?

Very simple answer RACIAL DISCRIMINATION.
