Maybe not as important as Ejuke's or Maduka's potential move, but a potential move by Akpeyi to Belgium is quite an improvement, at least for him. grin. Perhaps you are of the opinion that it's too late. That may be reasonable in the long term. However you may want to consider the fact that, transfers for goalkeepers are not as straightforward as that of outfield players, especially the homegrown. Enyeama was already quite good a goalkeeper by the mid-2000s, but he wandered all over Israel and only got a contract at Lille after the 2010 word cup(where he was bordering on the very-good class). So it's not quite a common thing to see home-bred Nigerian goalkeepers plight their trade at decent clubs somewhere in Europe earlier in their careers. So it's a good thing for Akpeyi at 43(sorry 34). grin.
andrewbaba44:

The only positive news here is Ejuke and maduka

Why will dessers move to genk? if he moves there then he is not ambitious, is dessers not the top scorer in the dutch league or 2nd top scorer?

Belgian clubs scouting a soon to be 34 year old daniel akpeyi ? baba tell me something i dont know

As much as i sympathize with this guy, and i hope Kelechi can help him, giving your contact to people who were your childhood friends is most of the time a bad idea, especially now that you are up there, enjoying some success, especially away from home. You never know, while some people grow up to become friends indeed, others grow up to become bitter. You cannot assume someone is being wicked for not giving out his/her contact. Perhaps he/she is trying to avoid the wicked, before your story becomes he/she was so so so and so. Besides why would you just want to take some pictures with him, i mean i would want to achieve some level of success before showing my kids a picture i took with another successfully individual(even if he was more). Anyway such matters are quite complicated and not new. Each side could provide legitimate reasons why certain actions were taken. All in all i hope he gets to meet his childhood friend(Kelechi) again(we all want to associate with success, don't we), and maybe Kelechi can help him out too. But as someone would say, Hustle and pray Hard my guy. It is well.
TheGoodJoe:
MY CHILDHOOD FRIEND HAS ROSE TO STARDOM AND HAS FORGOTTEN THAT
I EXIST.

Kelechi iheanacho was my childhood friend, we grew up together in the same neighborhood Nekede Old Road Owerri IMO state. We played the street balls together under the rain and scorching sun. We attended the same primary school; Unique Nursery and primary school Umualum Nekede No 4 b/stop as at then but has relocated to a new site now. We did almost everything together but today grace has found you and you've rose and clapped your way into the corridors of fame and stardom, you're now a celebrity not just in Nigeria but all over the world.

I remember how we conquered the environments of Ama - ato. Azuatalam,Chigozirim known as Podosky and you and I. If we are not there the games won't be fun but you've forgotten so fast and now mingles with those that you met after being famous.
We played an academy club "Danish" together for years before you moved to Taye academy how can you just forget those days so fast.

I remember how happy i was when i watched you play for Nigeria under 17 in UAE 2013.. I was not surprised when you conquered the world in that stage because i knew how good you were prior to then. Your senior brother Uchenna couldn't give me your contact because we are no more on the same pedestrian, you've moved higher.

Hear this,

I'm writing this not because hunger has finished my life but because a picture with you now will serve as a story i will tell to my children. Don't forget that the bodyguards and security personnel guarding you from people coming close to you, were not there when we use to go to the bush in Uzo ubi those days in search of riped fruits. It pains my heart that you've forgotten most of us who suffered with you and grew up together with you in the hood.
It's hard for me to get reach to you again as i've followed you in all social media platforms, Instagram, twitter, e.t.c. But it's easy if you want to get to me,if really you want to.

Please whoever that can reach out to Kelechi Iheanacho should help me and show him this letter and tell him it was written by Bala as i was nicknamed those days.

Rising to stardom doesn't mean you should forget those who grew up with you. I still remember paying for some matches we watched together at the viewing centres even game centres for PS2 (PlayStation). The things we did together are so enormous that i can't put all in writing.

Friends, i know Kelechi Iheanacho may not see this but you that is reading it now, don't forget the people with you now when luck shines on you.
Don't call them lazy, poor or feel irritated when you see them coming to you. We all started from somewhere and grace found you.

Godswill Uche (A.K.A Bàlà)

I hope Nacho gets to see this letter and reach out to his friend. He has the capacity to help him.

As a wise man once said, A friend in need is a friend in deed.

Sorry to say this, but i hope you do not have superiority complex. Cos that's exactly what your comment says. As someone else already said, do you not pray/hope our home-bred players progress too? That's kinda harsh.

Good morning to the best football analysts in the country. My respect for all of you on this thread knows no bounds. I don't contribute much because I enjoy reading what my daddies have written and I prefer to learn.

However, I won't deny that I see subjective comments here from Komekn and Chryskel that will always show their full support to a player even when they are not performing as expected.

I respect you all though. Special shout out to Sir Tbaba123 Icons Icon4s and all the legendary men here.

Please I recently launched an advert production brand. We produce advert videos for businesses with a foreign voice over. We can also produce a clip for your loved ones at a very cheap price and it's pay on delivery.

Just take a look at what we do here.

https://mobile.twitter.com/BestAdVideos/status/1264706041318703106

PS: To announce my readiness for this thread. I will do a video for a footballer of the thread's choice and I pray the player will get to see it.

Please select a player and let me know.

Thanks.

I already sent your link to an entrepreneur in Lagos. But why foreign voice over? Are you doing this for foreign companies?

Thank you Sir.

Actually, I'm using a foreign voice over to give my adverts a unique touch that will attract the attention of many.

However, I am hoping to adjust to our local voice of a client deems it fit for their brand.

a very sad reality of advertising business. People would rather do business eitb foreign voice overs, than listen to what they really sound like. Things like this, is why the African continent will find it difficult to stake a claim at the top of the ladder, in today's world.

I made an observation based on perspective, my perspective is based on my experience. I hope you can understand that people don't have the same experiences and I hope you understand that you don't have to live abroad to have a perception of the people there, you only need to interact with them.

You identified with it. It may not apply to everyone, but it applies to a lot, and it applied to you in particular, that is why you are trying so hard to defend yourself. At best, I will retract the generality of the statement, and say a lot of diaspora Nigerians are like that, including you.

It behoves on you to change my perception, not to argue it out, but show by your actions. You have not covered Diaspora Nigerians in glory on this thread, you are a representation of the person I painted. I am not wrong, but you cannot agree with me, because you are the person I speak of.

Once again, reduce your shoulder. Your experience and perception does not and will not invalidate mine.

Argue with someone else.

Perspective is not fact, it is not empirical and it is not substantive. Particularly when it is based in nothing but self.

Your perspective is self birthed, self justified and extremely limited and superficial. The fact is you have ZERO EXPERIENCE of the things you talk about beyond the whimsical.

You have incessantly made these self birthed allegations, about my negative prejudice towards
Nigerian home based players.

And l have asked you several times to give me one example not even two just one. But once again you have EVADED, BY PASSED without shame.

You make deductions from perception not facts and yet you are a lawyer. You don't have any sense of balance of probabilities or even the argument of the reasonable man. Buy you conclude on WHAT ❓ Your self justified no experience perspective, that's DELUSION.

When l talk about Nigeria, it's not based on YouTube and or a a few Nigerian l know and or some relatives.

But l digress, I challenge you, once again, to give just one instance, screen shot please, of where l have denigrated Nigerian home based players.

Finally, my first hand participative experience professional and social including educational. Completely negates yours, you speak from ignorance l speak from knowledge.

You have a rare attribute an active colourful imagination. You should really be a dramatic screen writer, you have chosen the wrong profession.

Welcome back to the thread. If you noticed, that post is at least 48 hours old.

Due to my policy on lapse of time, I have left that discussion and will not be answering to any other points raised from it, I won't even be reading any other points raised from it, so that I don't see something that forces me to continue the conversation.

This means, that while this response of yours will hopefully, be beneficial to someone on this thread, that person is not me. It is, however, appreciated.
