I have no worries with performance. He delivers when he plays and is more mature in attack than Martial IMO. He is getting the numbers as he's given play time, which is okay for me.

Ok, Son.

Thanks for this info. I was actually wondering.

I really wish we were able to qualify. We have so many players who are U23/24 that would have used that platform to showcase their abilities.

That's in the context of Nigeria.

But in modern current times at 17/18 you should be Knocking in the door of first team football and if exceptional playing regularly.

At 19/20 most quality players are becoming first team regulars in thier respective football clubs and leagues.

So if at 21/22 we are using the national U23 team to establish ability and potential as well as the bridge for admittance to the senior team SE, then that approach is flawed.

It's what you do in your Club and league consistently that presents the justification for invitation and then selection if you perform.

It's obvious you haven't watched a lot of youth team football in professional clubs because if you had, you simply will not jump to your conclusion with such haste.

This is not entirely true sir, record remembers minutes per goal not games per goal. Since the inception of football statistics sites like Opta, a players clinicality is measured by how much goal he has scored per minute not per match. So there is nothing like goal per game, it is now goal per 90 or per minute.

Ighalo has played 52 minutes over 6 games, an average of almost 9 Mins per game. If he plays a complete 90 and get two goals, he would have the highest goal per minute ratio in the league, making him the most lethal player in the EPL.

His goal per game ratio will tell you he has 2 goal in 7 games.

Bit his minute per goal will tell you he has 2 goals in less than 2 games, that is, 142 Mins.

Where were all these logic when Iheanacho was suffering same fate at Leicester, nobody cared to talk about the less number of minutes he was getting, but everybody was just focused on number of games. grin

Bro, Ighalo has gone 6 games with no go or assist, and considering the faith the coach has shown in him, she should be doing better, for Christ sake, Ole brought him in, against all odds, he should work harder not to make the man an object of ridicule, he has been patient enough with him.

A good striker doesn't need 100s of minutes to make his presence felt, in the premier league for a big side like United
Then I can safely say Osimhen was a flop in the bundesliga

Personally, unless we have some assessment ongoing backstage, i feel Ole is just being too careful with Ighalo. And that shouldn't be happening. Perhaps if Continental football resumes.
