Osimhen Goal machine !!! They chanted after the transfer was sealed. They proclaimed he is the prince of Monaco and would be banging in goals for the mere facts they are goals. Some delusional fans even taunted he would compete with Ronaldo for Golden shoe. Blanks upon blanks later , they are crying Napoli is a scrap team . Water don pass garri finally

Several English Premier League, German, French and Italian clubs have placed Reading's Nigeria-eligible young star Michael Olise few months before the reopening of the transfer window, according to reports.

Team Talk says Liverpool, Everton, Chelsea and Manchester City have been keeping tabs on the left-footed midfielder in recent weeks but face competition from home and abroad.

Arsenal, Leeds United, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Borussia Dortmund, RB Leipzig, Monaco and Napoli are also contemplating signing Olise who is widely regarded as one of the top young prospects outside the English Premier League.

The 18-year-old has been a key player for table-topping Reading in the new campaign with his contribution of two goals and three assists in his first nine matches.

He turned out for the youth teams of Chelsea and Manchester City before signing scholarship forms with the Royals in 2016.

Olise played non-binding games for France during last year's Toulon Tournament and is also eligible to wear the colours of England.

He has a contract with Reading until the end of the 2021-2022 season.

Former Golden Eaglets captain Sani Abacha as well as U23 star Sunusi Ibrahim are among five foreign-based professionals who are expected to fortify the Flying Eagles in time for the U20 AFCON qualifiers in Togo later this month.

Defender or midfielder Abacha only recently signed his first pro contract with top Hungarian side Honved Budapest, while Sunusi is believed to be in England to finalise a transfer.

Sunusi, who clocked 18 on October 1, 2020, was joint top scorer of the NPFL two seasons ago and has already represented Nigeria at U23 and CHAN levels.

It was further gathered that three other attacking players from overseas will also be called up by coach Ladan Bosso.

NPFL stars dominate the current team, who have been training in Abuja ahead of the qualifiers in Togo later this month.

They open their campaign on November 19 against Cote d’Ivoire.

Nigerian forward Paul Mukairu was voted Anderlecht Man of the Match after their 1-0 win against Royal Antwerp, in the Belgian Jupiler on Sunday, Completesports.com reports.

Anderlecht announced Mukairu as the club’s best player on their verified Twitter handle.

The 20-year-old marked his debut for Anderlecht by scoring the only goal of the game after coming off the bench in the second half.

Mukairu joined Anderlecht from Turkish Super Lig outfit Antalyaspor where he scored three goals in 27 appearances.

Sunday’s win means Anderlecht have now won back-to-back games in the league following victory against Kortrijk last time out.

They are now fifth on 20 points in the Belgian top flight.

I once said that Osimhen was ridiculously overvalued, but they descended upon me like a pack of hyenas.

Anyways, it is still quite early in the Serie A season. I'll bide my time and keep faith in the lad.

SMH, it's obvious you guys don't watch football. Less than 10 weeks into the new season in a new league. Sometimes you guys talk like you are just waiting for the downfall of a Nigerian player

Algeria again edge past Super Eagles in 2019 AFCON rematch
Eagles vs Algeria in Austria

SCORENigeria has specially gathered that angry Super Eagles stars are now spoiling for a showdown with top football officials after they are yet to be paid $17,500 (more than nine million Naira) bonus each for finishing third at last year’s AFCON in Egypt.

This revelation comes as SCORENigeria learnt the Eagles are also owed bonuses for various other matches.

This will include the wins over Benin and Lesotho in 2021 AFCON qualifiers as well as appearance fees for the team’s last four friendlies – vs Ukraine, Brazil, Algeria and Tunisia.

A source told SCORENigeria: “The boys are no longer smiling over the outstanding bonuses going back to the 2019 AFCON in Egypt.

“They have said their patience has run out and they will have to be paid these monies before the first match against Sierra Leone in Benin City on November 13.”
