Exclusive – Agent Gives Reasons Why West Ham Bound Iheanacho Won’t Join PSG

The intermediary of out of favour Manchester City forward Kelechi Iheanacho says the 20 year old won’t be joining French giants PSG following reports of a bid for his services by the Ligue 1 side.

Iheanacho move to West Ham United is all but sealed for a fee in excess of 20 miilion pounds but several issues including, Manchester City buy back option clause and his image right tussle between agents is holding up any official announcement of the deal.

The 20 year old left the camp of the Nigeria national team in France on Saturday morning for London, where talks were concluded on his possible departure with the hierarchy of Manchester City.

” Talks with West Ham are very advanced I must confess, and barring any last minute hiccup he will end up joining them. If not them then any other team in England but not outside England “, he told Owngoalnigeria.com.

” He is not interested in a move away from England for now. He is two years away from getting his papers as a citizen, so moving away from England at this time is a non starter particularly as they are interested in him from England.

” That said offers have come in from outside England, but his immediate priority is to stay in England, reasons why the offer from West Ham ticks the right box”.

Exclusive – Iheanacho To Earn N1.57 Billion, Twice His Man City Pay At West Ham

Out of favour Manchester City Nigerian forward Kelechi Iheanacho have been offered twice his present earning at Man City by West Ham United as his move to the Hammers draws near.

Talks are progressing nicely between Iheanacho’s representatives and West Ham, with Iheanacho also participating in the negotiations which took place during the weekend.

Iheanacho arrived Manchester from the camp of the senior national team of Nigeria on Saturday after helping them draw 1-1 against Corsica, a game he scored Nigeria’s lone goal to help preserve their unbeaten run.

West Ham are willing to pay the 20 year old £70,000 a week, which is twice what he presently earns at the Etihad after his new deal just before the start of the recently concluded English Premier League in England.

The sum he will earn in a week means around N1.57 billion per season in Nigerian currency, and will make him the second highest earning Nigerian player in Europe after Victor Moses of Chelsea.

Already his impending transfer to West Ham will make him the most expensive Nigerian player at £24m, four million pounds more than Odion Ighalo who moved to Chinese side Chanchung Yatai for £20m in January from Watford.

Enyeama’s Club Lille To Make Checks On Eagles Ace Etebo Against Togo

A source close to Super Eagles forward Oghenekaro Etebo has confirmed to Owngoalnigeria.com reports about French side Lille showing interest in the CD Feirense forward.

Lille first sighted the forward at close quarters in the first friendly game Nigeria played in France against Corsica, where ironically scouts from the team came on a mission to watch another player who played for Corsica.

Etebo’s overall performance caught their attention, and the club will now run further checks on the 22 year old when Nigeria take on Togo in their second friendly game on the 1st of June.

The source also revealed reports of a bid from Lyon for the forward who is rated above £10m are way of the mark as the club recently agreed a big money transfer for former Manchester United forward Javier Hernandez popularly referred to as Chicharito.

” Lille for now are the only team in France showing interest in Etebo. They saw him from the game against Corsica, and they will likely lodge a bid for him after the game against Togo”, he told Owngoalnigeria.com.

” Lyon have not contacted anybody over Etebo yet, and i’m not aware of their interest in him. The only news is about the impending arrival of Chicharito from Bayern Leverkusen “.

Looooollll... the people you argued with are the class of guys who say, "Who wouldn't go for the Queen over Rubbish Nigeria"? Looollll

But they don't realise that by so doing, most of them will end up as mediocre players. Enter Agbonlahor, Shola Ameobi, Nedum Onuoha, etc.

Not everyone can be a Dele Alli.... wink

But again playing 90 games for Nigeria and yielding nothing compared to playing a couple of games like maybe 25 for England and winning a major trophy (very unlikely in reality) is another matter entirely. wink

glad you know that naija has a higher chance of winning laurels than England any day.

West Brom Target Moses Simon Announces Arrival Date In Super Eagles Camp

Gent wing wizard Moses Simon has announced his arrival date for the Super Eagles training camp, ahead of their African Cup of Nations qualifier against South Africa,
allnigeriasoccer.com understands.

Simon was permitted by the coaching staff to skip the first and second phase of camping, and he has disclosed that he will join the team on June 2, same day the squad are expected back in Abuja.

There had been doubts relating to his availability for the AFCON qualifier against South Africa after he picked up an injury at the end of April, but he has sufficiently recovered and returned to the Gent squad on the final day of the season.

Moses was scouted by the technical director at West Brom when the Super Eagles tackled Senegal in London in March.

How Ezenwa, Alampasu Perfomed During Shooting Practice In Super Eagles Training

The two goalkeepers in the camp of the Super Eagles were up against the other outfield players in a shooting drill which took place yesterday after the players tennis ball session.

Owngoalnigeria.com Michael James witnessed the session and reports that Dele Alampasu and Ikechukwu Ezenwa both displayed cat like reflexes to all that was thrown at them, but Alampasu edged Ezenwa on saves made.

Ezenwa was particularly impressive with balls hit at his chest height while Alampasu was at his best with high hit balls but struggled to cope with grounders, example of such was the well hit drive from Alhassan Ibrahim which evaded him.

Overall both goalkeepers did well during the session which saw almost all of the 17 players in camp take part bar Ahmed Musa who is nursing a knock picked up during the friendly clash against Corsica.

Meanwhile during the shooting exercise Oghenekaro Etebo came out top when it comes to hitting the ball with power and precision, but Uche Agbo also impressed with his shots same as Wilfred Ndidi.

Also worthy of a mention is Alhassan Ibrahim who buried most of his efforts, which were low and hard with directions which left the goalkeepers with little or no chance of making saves.

I think it will make him more of an EEA player. He won't be referred to as "foreign" anymore if he can achieve this citizenship by age 22. So relax.... I think his handlers are not entirely off point... they know if Nacho does exceptionally well at West Ham, his price/market value will rise and his being considered a UK citizen and an EEA-marked player will place good premiums on him. wink

And uhmmm, his handlers/managers are foreigners too ooo... not only Nigerians.

Ikechukwu Ezenwa © Shengolpixs

Ezenwa relishes debut under Rohr
by Humphrey Njoku

Super Eagles goalkeeper Ikechukwu Ezenwa is still relishing his debut experience under manager Gernot Rohr.
The FC IfeanyiUbah shot stopper was in goal throughout Friday’s international friendly against the French Islanders, Corsica's, senior national team.

The clash, which ended one goal apiece, took place at the Stade Francois Coty, Ajaccio.

The clash is a build-up for the three-time African champions’ 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) tie against their South African counterparts, Bafana Bafana, on June 10 at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo.

Ezenwa said the experience this time around against the tiny Island under Rohr is quite different from the previous experiences.

“I’m very happy to have made my first debut match under the new manager, Gernot Rohr.

“The memory is certain to linger on in me for a long time to come.

“The choice of tiny French Island opponents Corsica's senior national team makes it the more relishing

“Although we came from behind to level scores, anybody would have handed us the match without a fight.

“The outcome goes to agree with the truism that there are no more minnows in the round leather game.

“We are happy with the challenge and it will help us greatly in the Afcon clash against Bafana Bafana of South Africa,” said the former Sunshine Stars goalie to supersport.com.

Ezenwa said he is equally looking forward to Thursday’s warm-up clash against West African neighbours, the Hawks of Togo, in Paris, France.

“We have settled down in Paris waiting for the matchday on Thursday to face the Hawks of Togo.

“I’m quite keen to know what the second experience will feel like against much more familiar foes, the Hawks of Togo.

“That match will be an acid test on our readiness to confront the South Africans in the June 10 Afcon clash in Uyo,” said Ezenwa.

The Eagles are expected to come back after the Togo clash to open their Group E Cameroon 2019 Afcon qualifying account against the South African foes on Saturday, June 10 in Uyo.

Libya and Seychelles are the other members of the pool that will guarantee group’s winners ticket to Cameroon 2019 Afcon.

Iheanacho smiling at the possibility of banging in goals against Man City..... grin

Man City wanna insert a buyback clause in any deal involve Nacho'S permanent sale.... seems they have learnt enough with the Pogba situation at Man Utd and De bruyne situation at Chelsea..... ahhh not forgetting the Lukaku situation at Chelsea too with Chelsea said to be after Lukaku based on the rumors... wink

Their wahala is too much... you rate Nacho so high yet you treat him like he is not part of the squad... leaving a super talent like him out of many matchday squads.

If West ham can strike a deal without a buyback clause... I will be glad... but Man City just won't bulge yet.

Abeg make dem hurry up announce this deal biko.....

Kujane well prepared for whatever happens when Bafana faces nemesis Nigeria tricky Afcon tie
By Mninawa Ntloko | May 29, 2017

Bafana Bafana team manager Barney Kujane does not like surprises and is well prepared for whatever happens when the national team faces nemesis Nigeria in an away 2019 African Nations Cup qualifier on June 10.

Kujane travelled to Nigeria to inspect facilities a few days ago and he told Times Media Digital on Monday afternoon he’s done everything in his power to ensure that preparations for new Bafana coach Stuart Baxter’s first game at the helm run as smoothly as possible.

Bafana have never beaten Nigeria in an official match and cannot afford to be distracted by off-the-field diversions ahead of a crucial encounter like this one.

‘‘If you leave South Africa and you have not done your homework‚ a surprise in Nigeria can cause complete disarray to the coach’s plans and to the players‚” Kujane said.

‘‘When you are the national team manager‚ you have got to make sure that there are no surprises for the coach.

‘‘I do not like surprises. This is the first game for the coach and our first game in the 2019 Afcon qualifiers. So we cannot afford to start the qualifiers on the back foot.”

Kujane visited Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo State‚ the match venue‚ and he told Baxter that the game will be played on a normal grass pitch.

He took several photographs for good measure and the Bafana coach now has a pretty good idea of what the surface will look like.

Kujane said the stadium’s pitch is similar to the surface at FNB Stadium and as a result Bafana will use the 2010 World Cup venue as their training venue from Sunday until departure to Nigeria next Wednesday.

This meticulous planning is a departure from the chaos that marked Bafana’s preparations for their 2017 African Nations Cup qualifier against Mauritania under former coach Ephraim ‘‘Shakes” Mashaba in September 2017.

Mashaba was not aware that the Stade Olympique de Nouakchott had an artificial pitch and none of the practice sessions in Johannesburg were conducted on the surface.

‘‘I really do not foresee any problems in Nigeria‚” Kujane said.

‘‘The only small concern I have is the travelling distance from our hotel to the match venue. It is quite a distance and it should take us about 45 minutes.

‘‘But we will have a police escort and that should hopefully make things a little bit easier.” — TMG Digital/TMG Sport

That makes two of you.... so many don't buy your bollocks on mbappe being alone on a star spangled universe light years away from Nacho....

So shift.... You have always had a problem with Nigeria's brightest of any generation... first it was Mikel... now it is gonna be Iheanacho....

Mbappe..... mbappe... mbappe... oh plsssss.... he was given an opportunity and he shone....

If Nacho was given same opportunity, he will definitely outshine mbappe... so stop your yammerings....

Nacho uses five-ten mins to still make impacts while Mbappe needs roughly 60-90mins... abeg... carry your hero worship of mbappe to another thread.

Call me back when he nets his first international goal... Nacho is already on six out of 9.... we are talking Real business here and not some super hyped youngster coz he is French and comes with a high premium.

Iheanacho is no less in quality than either Gabby J or Mbappe.... your song that he is less than them changes not the truth.

PSG, Dortmund, Tottenham, Hoffenheim, And other club sides (more will come but for man city's refusal to sell to a top 7 EPL rival) won't come for Iheanacho if he isn't top quality for an African who isn't even EU/EEA-marked yet.... so swerve abeg.

the hype in this comment is absurd. Even Mbappe and french fans would be weary of making such comments about their (well let's be honest) more talented lad. The way nigerians hype their own makes you wonder

The same way the English people hype theirs, remember Sterling, Wilshere and the others?

It's okay to hype what is ours (and in fact if we don't do that, who will?)

It's up to any player to live up to the hype the press or his people.

Iheanacho is no less in quality than either Gabby J or Mbappe.... your song that he is less than then changes not the truth.

PSG, Dortmund, Hoffenheim, And other club sides won't come for Iheanacho if he isn't top quality for an African who isn't even EU/EEA-marked yet.... so swerve abeg.

Even last season when Nacho had the chance, his stats were nowhere close to that of Mbappe and Mbappe has played more games as a winger. Last season's UCL, what was Nacho's contribution? 1, 2, 3 offsides against Madrid and he did get game time so don't go there.

Ok you mentioned all these clubs as reported by owngoalnigeria. Let me repeat that for emphasis OWNGOALNIGERIA, yeah quite a reliable site. Every single day I browse through skysports and other notable sports sites and the only club coming for him is West Ham and previously Hoffeinhem, Dortmund did not want him and that was why they rejected the 90million plus Nacho bid Man city tabled, to show you that I have been following that up but I didn't want to bring you down from that your cloud nine.

Nacho takes 5 mins to make an impact? Let me not start, just a word of advice, go and check how many goals Nacho has scored as a sub compared to Mbappe then come back on your knees and admit the truth.

And finally, Nacho might be the brightest prospect(in your mind atleast) of his generation, that doesn't mean he will turn out to be the best. I have seen you guys deride other players that are presently performing better than him, I wish the young lad the best but the truth is that he is a good player but nowhere close to the likes of Dembele, Mbappe or Gabby J
