Can you imagine a football match being played for ninety minutes without a goal post, or a basketball game without a ring? It would be an exercise in futility. There wound be nothing to strive for it would be a waste of potential, talent, time and energy. Sadly a lot of us live our lives just like this from day to day without a definite purpose ''many people are wandering generalities rather than meaningful specifics''. However, we often confuse our wishes and dreams for goals. Wishes and dreams are nothing more than desires and desires are weak. Dreams and wishes transform into good goals when they become S.M.A.R.T (Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic and Time- bound). Goals should be balanced our life is like a wheel with six spoke 1) Spiritual 2) Financial 3) Relationship 4) Social 5) Health and fitness 6) Career success in an are of your life doesn't makeup for failure in another area. How to set GOALS 1) Decide what you want ''Realize what you really want. It stops you from chasing butterflies and put you to work digging gold.'' 2) Make a plan ''it has been said that action without planning is the cause of every failure. The five P formula for personal and professional success says that Proper Planning Pervents Poor Performance''. 3) Determine and decide to pay the prize ''Quitters never win and winners never quit''. 4) Take action now ''Successful people are action-oriented, procrastination is opportunity assassin. Our dreams are worthless. Our plans are dust. Our goals are impossible. All are of no value unless they are followed by action.'' 5) Reward yourself. REMEMBER It Is The GOAL That Shapes The Plan, It Is The Plan That Set The Action, It Is The Action That Achieves The Result, And It Is The Result That Bring Success, And It All Begins With The Simple Word GOAL.
