Let the document be scrutinised and perfected before implementation. We don't want to hear stories of how the budget can't be implemented after signing. Let them take their time now and get things right.

They can even continue to scrutinise till next year if that's what taking their time translate to. Where is the word urgency in their dictionary. Seven months to appoint ministers, another five to pass budget, then seven months to scrutinise before they now use two months to sign. By then the country would have died of darkness, hunger, no fuel and above all joblessness. I think they say Buhari is a General, in war do you really have pleasure of time or you are trained to take critical decisions on your feet? How come he now foot drags and waste precious time because he doesn't want to make mistakes (the ones evident everywhere now) and his zombies hail him on. Nonsense. Fake General.

So he didn't scrutinize the budget before presenting it to the senate
If the senators had been so naive and dull to quickly approve it without scrutinizing it and showing the flaws like he did in presenting it ,will he buhari be scrutinizing it now
Scrutinizing a budget after it has been passed by the senate even shows that there is a big gap and disconnect between the senate and the presidency ,the presidency has a senate liason officer or an official in charge of senate matters who should have known what and what is in the budget ,now buhari will waste another 4 to 5 weeks scrutinizing

Yes na... He should keep it up.

That's why I was angry with him on the budget issue. And I stated it here many times.

There's no was a budget that was adopted first at the FEC will have issues of padding and the president and ministers are feigning ignorance. I can't agree with that. And I took on people offline who tried to defend such ineptitude.

Reason, there are always specific project that are of interest to the president across the country and all sectors. He must at least check to know if they were captured and funded. Even if all the projects that interests him are all in daura. But for a president is shouldn't be. There's no way he shouldn't have seen it.
What if those he promised to see to some specific projects call him to ask, what will he say. Let's say OBJ told him about an issue of which he promised,; he will not be sure if it's well captured in the budget?

No CEO will let that happen.

Thank God his people on nairaland told him some of what we said.
