That's cool. I am also very much interested with Uni Jena but the little info I read about the city on this thread is quite discouraging. I learnt it is very tough to get a part time job unless one has a solid knowledge of German language. Although I'm still weighing my options cos the school is highly ranked in Germany compared to Trier uni which I have also been admitted to. More so, I read a post on this thread which stated that Trier is a border town with a bad semester ticket and a short residency extension for international students. I just pray that God will direct our parts in making the right choice because our human instinct has its limitations (Genesis 13:10)
amen.

Oh,how did you certify it because they said they can't hand your transcripts to you in person, they have to send it to the school directly.

Yes, that's what they tell everyone. So I decided to send it to my work place, it was allowed as long as it was not address to my name. So just request for it to be sent any organisation you can easily get it from.

Did u apply to Jena already? Or still contemplating?
May God direct all us. In times like this what one think is best might not be God's will for our lives. So it prayers all the way.

He will lead us to the straight path.Amen

You must think survival first. Forget ranking in Germany. Yes, there are Ivy-league like Unis..e.g TU9s...but at the end of the day...that means little to nothing.

Talk to somebody in Jena, if you can, and decide. Viel Glück!

I just got done with my interview. Remember I said it was at 8:30PM? Well I was just casually lying down on my bed at 6:10PM when I decided to check what time it is in Frankfurt. I saw that it was 7:10pm. I did a double take and it still said 7:30. That was when I realized I had miscalculated our time zone. I thought we were ahead of them and never bothered to confirm, not knowing we were actually behind them by an hour. So I thought it would start at 8:30

Gosh, I went into a tantrum because there was no light and my dad wasn't home, and I never even baff sef! Had to take a bath and get ready hoping my dad shows up. Luckily, he got home at 6:20PM and was able to put on the gen for me and I was ready at exactly 6:30PM.

The interview didn't last more than 20 minutes in total. They asked me about the article and my thoughts on it, why I chose ESB, and gave me behavioral questions and asked what I would do in the scenarios they mentioned.

Lastly, they asked me if I had any questions for them. Then they said "we look forward to having you here at ESB Business School"
In my head I was like "na so, this one you people don dey ask for tuition" As if they knew what I was thinking they said "are you aware that they might be tuition fees introduced this coming semester?" I was like yeah I know.

Then he was like "I'm not so sure it will be implemented though. Nothing is certain yet. It might be and it might not be implemented" I was a bit surprised because I thought they had passed it and it had become law. If there's no tuition it makes my choice hard because I REALLY like the IB program at ESB, but because of tuition and prestige I decided to go with TUM.

THOUGHT YOU WERE AWARE OF THE TIME DIFFERENCE.I HAD MY ALARM SET SINCE LAST WEEK AS NOTIFICATION.

THEY ASKED WHAT IS STEEL.DUMPING,THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN STEEL PRODUCTION IN US AND CHINA AND TWO MINUTE SUMMARY OF THE ARTICLE.

THE BEHAVIOURAL QUESTION WAS MORE OF CULTURE SHOCK,ADAPTING TO A NEW ENVIRONMENT,i.e,MISSING HOME,FOOD ETC.

THEY ALSO WANT TO KNOW HOW MORE OF HOW A LEADER AND GROUP PLAYER YOU ARE.

IT WAS NO BIGGIE THOUGH.AT SOME POINT MTN MESSED UP,THEY HAD TO CUT AND CALL AGAIN.

THE TUITION FEE ISN'T CERTAIN TOO JUDGING BY THEIR RESPONSE.

Thanks for your suggestions bro. I will look into that. Hoping to find an active member in the thread who resides in Jena. But if I may cheap this in, please could you help me rank these 4 states in terms of job prospects, residency extension and semester ticket (not really important I guess)
Jena
Siegen
Erlangen-Nuremberg
Trier
I will also appreciate if guru's in the house can help out too as it could benefit others who also applied to schools in the locations above.

Thanks
