Alhaji Ahmed Song, a chieftain of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Adamawa, has dismissed speculations of split in the state chapter of the party.



He described the rumours as `product of mischief designed to pit former Vice President Atiku Abubakar against President Muhammadu
Buhari.’

In a statement he issued to newsmen on Tuesday in Yola, Song expressed concern that some people in the party were bent on creating disharmony between Atiku and Buhari.

``It is worrisome that there are people in the APC who are determined to create imaginary schism and disharmony in the party to suit their mischievous agenda of drawing a wedge between Buhari and Abubakar."

He accused those peddling the rumours of not wishing to see harmonious relationship Buhari and Atiku.

He added that they are determined to invent crisis of confidence between the two leaders at all costs, even if one doesn't exist.

Song declared that no committed member of the APC would devote needless energies to create distrust, division and disunity between and among the leadership of the party in the state.

He warned that the dangerous politics of creating imaginary division within the party and among its key leaders would ultimately harm the party if left unchecked.

Song, a close associate of Atiku, said that the former Vice President enjoys cordial and mutually respectful relationship with Buhari.

``Rumour merchants will not succeed in their selfish agenda at the expense of the party,’’ he said.

One thing I know about Baba Atiku is that........he's still eyeing that presidency and anyone who will not allow him get there will be perceived as his enemy.


He might still change his party if PMB decides to recontest.

Why is atiku still relevant?

The Atiku I know is a very stubborn goat, full of pride and he's not a respecter of anybody.
But one can't dispute the fact that, the adamawa nigga would have done better as a president than that olodo from daura.
