Nigerians wont see this rubbish O, when Buhari starts dealing with this guy's, nigerians would start should Human Rights violation, tht useless Amnesty intl, would bring their own, Nigerians would be following them, This Amnesty intl, how many times have they indicted the US Army, all d atrocities committed by d US military, d invasion of Iraq, the atrocities n countries like Afghan n Libya, they would keep quiet because it's US or any of the super powers, buh let d NA kill Boko Haram they b shouting Human Rights.... These Militants r not fighting for their region, why development did d amnesty program bring to their region, instead d militant choose to invest their resources outside d country....example, it's no news asari dokubo has a university in Benin Republic.... Let's say no to these vandals n support PMB in clearing the riff Raff's, how do we expect electricity , when these guys keep blowing up pipelines because u dnt settle them......its rubbish |

simpleseyi:I'm from the Niger delta. I certainly do not support the pipeline vandalism but the use of force will only make things worse. The will be civilian casualties which will only bring more hatred and division which in turn will mean more dastardly acts by militants. This is a sensitive issue that requires negotiations. 2 Likes |

YelloweWest:Federalism? I have nothing to lose so I will support any arrangement as long as we all follow the rules. At the same time, you should consider what will happen when these state governments are entrusted with huge amounts of money. If someone can divert funds from meagre amount of money, won't he do worse with mega sums. The problem I see here is not the federal government or at least not with the federal government alone. We are our own problems. We should put aside tribal differences and say no to corrupt officials. We should demand good use of our money. 1 Like |

I took the liberty to read all the comments and I prepared a response for each one but since I won't start a Monday arguing with dimwits I won't mention anyone However it's safe to say the ones claiming proudly 5% are just too stewpyd When there's no fuel and they queue at filling stations they demand for Buhari's head When there's no power supply, they call Buhari a terrorist When we said their brothers are the saboteurs, they felt offended and rained curses on themselves When Buhari threatened pipeline vandals , they dare him to do his worst So now when soldiers and navy are stationed around pipelines to provide security and vandals they'll start screaming marginalization, progom or ethnic cleansing What disgusts me more is this funny name Niger Delta avengers?! Like the marvel movie series? If so what are they avenging? Who wronged them ? Few weeks into presidency Buhari ordered Ogoni and creeks cleanup, cleanup for oil spillage that they caused If Massob and MEND, Tompolo and Dokubo can get the signal, these new avengers should catch the hint too By God's grace I have copied your usernames, Members of 5%/blame Buhari team if anyone of you complains about IPOB or Avenger member's death by the army , I will personally laugh at you all Nobody complained when your brothers were kidnapping Oyinbos working on oil rig You only succeeded in chasing the oyinbos and investments away Nobody complained when your brothers were flown abroad and paid upwards of 50k for being terrorists they are I'm sure if you bring death and destruction upon yourselves and your land, it won't stop this boss from taking his bush meat and Stout while reading the news 5 Likes 1 Share |

clefstone:Don't be naive the two parties bear the loss from their actions, so what's the point? This current issue has plunged the community where I did my youth service into total darkness for about 2 months now (the locals have resulted into buying fuel at expensive prices to generate electricity while the ones without generators have had to live in darkness). This is electricity they get free of charge as part of Shell's CSR. Shell has had to shut down it's operations meaning the indigenes that work with them are starving since this oil thing is the only source of employment. They should continue with their wanton destruction, it's not as if they invested the money they got from the amnesty program, it was wholly spent on booze and women. |

You damage oil pipes and say NNPC is not supplying; you destroy gas pipes and complain that there's no light. You think you're doing us, you're doing yourself. If these vandals can return to this, what then is the benefit of the amnesty program they enjoyed? Why did the PDP waste so much on them? I think the military can be justified if they engage these vandals. You cannot continue to treat these terrorists with kid gloves. 1 Like |

Leyelanre:The thing about us Nigerian is that we lie to ourselves. We are always going to have tribal and religious divides.why not look for ways to make our differences work rather than kill ourselves over a regions wealth. Every Nigerian is corrupt including buhari, yes that's the truth. Ameachi is corrupt and so is wike Gej. If there is federalism the trickle down effect would be more on the masses. I disagree with the notion that the major problem we have are state government. For most citizens the is no nexus between them and the fg. Most of us depend.on the state. So if the state has more funds, yes there mayl still be looting but the people won't suffer as much. |

Brugo: The question you should be asking is "why were they not vandalizing the pipeline in the later years of PDP?" If you had cared to read the article you'd have seen why -" they had some running contracts to provide ongoing protection for the pipelines in their areas (a genius move by the former govt. that ensured lasting peace in that area before now)". But, unfortunately, immediately after clinching power, this current govt. arrogantly scraped the contracts for the pipeline protection service that were awarded to the ND youths by the PDP led govt.". That's a very dumb, foolhardy and silly thing to do at this time. How do you fight for oil at the same time you claim you want to diversify from oil? This Government's folly is in its deliberate effort to erase peace from the nation. Buhari has no regard for peace. But what he failed to realize is that there cannot be prosperity unless there is, first of all, peace. It is very foolish of the govt. to scrap those contracts and go on to instigate violence in the ND at the moment they were yet to recover from the shocking loss of their son's reelection bid. The FG should focus on brokering national peace in order to build an all inclusive and well diversified national economy. But that's not gonna happen when a bunch bigotted socialists are in power. They cannot acheive anything going the way they do. This is not 20th century. 1 Like 1 Share |

But for now brother, let's help promote national unity, contribute our individual quota to national development, say no to violence and wish nigeria well. For me I do not support the militants to bomb their own pipeline or the Army going in to kill people. I am just afraid it will be very bloody due to the terrain. This is not Sambisa forest that is an open desert land o. This na swamp with a lot of small creeks. Burutai was in the army when MEND killed a lot of soldiers and seized their gun boats. You all saw the gun boats released by Tom Polo during the amnesty era. Well, me I go dey drink my Kunu dey watch them. |

This is not military era, Your PMB should learn how to redirect his effort in finding lasting peace and solutions. Some of you would be there threatening to use the military to deal with the militants. You think is easy as you said it. Buhari even when he was a military head of state could not stop the activities of militants even subsequent government until they introduce amnesty programme but some of you would be there making noise. |

The population of the entire Niger Delta creek is not close to the arms carrying member of Boko Haram. If Buhari can subdue Boko with their might and artillery, with their tanks and sophisticated hierarchy, Boko Haram that once control a region bigger than Britain and raise their flags...This Militant are just cockroaches...Wait for Buratai, he is coming.......................
