Quakertellicus1: So the VP should constitute a similar, special task force to guard farmers eh....if he dares. There is no way to explain out this country. You will always be caught short. Oil is more important than lives. Take it or leave it. There are far bigger problems to tackle. At least the zeros effect of anti-corruption war on the well-being of the Nigerian citizen has proved that. |

bashydemy: Then they will need to kill every body there because as the body count rises so will the resentment. Surely you don't want to go that way and i dare the government to do so. The only way out is to negotiate while seeking alternative sources of livelihood for the government and people of this country. These militants are the best tools to diversify the economy because the black man cannot learn by example but by suffering. Buhari has been in government for one solid year. WHAT HAS BEEN DONE TO FREE US FROM THE SHACKLE TO BIG OIL. That is what you fellows should be asking not demanding more oil like a junkie pants after crack. SET YOURSELVES FREE FROM OIL. 1 Like |

My take is that violence never solves any problem. Dialogue is the way forward because some of the pipelines are located in difficult terrain which make total protection difficult. Let both sides sheath their sword. Like what one popular reggae musician sang "i don't want no peace, all i want is justice". I rest my case. |

sweetilicious:it is also non of my business if every piple line is put off completely. Come to think of it, can any normal human being come out and say we are living any average live under Buhari? Apart from T:Y: Danjuma etc., who owns as many oil blocks as possible, making so much money every day? All na vanity. When it come to oil, Buhari will increase and grow extra ordinary energy. He should go and set up special task force for Fulani Herdsman who kill innocent Nigerians, besides destroying farm lands. 1 Like |

Sunnycliff: Na u gan gan I dey watch in 3D. The Fulani herdsmen did not start today, it started during GEJ era dating back to 2013, why don't u offer ur selfish and silly advise to him then? Everything takes a lot of plan to tackle. Buhari has just gradually relegated Boko Haram and then the Fulani Herdsmen started creating another problem for his govt, and then Biafra, then corruption is fighting back and then Niger Delta Avenger blowing up pipelines. Govt is not run the way u think, it takes time with lots of plans and he is taking a step after the other. He will surely tackle it all and don't you think human lives mean nothing to him, if that's d case y did he venture into tackling the Boko Haram? People that human lives means nothing to was GEJ and his cohorts, using Arms money for re-elections and personal interest of him and for his people. He was solely concern with power. Imagine him n the wife saying Chibok girls were not actually kidnapped when the kidnapped first took place; that it was staged to get him out of office. That statement to me is playing politics with human lives. A good leader would have take action and be proactive at the very early stage probably they would have been recovered. Example is how Gov. Ambode tackled the kidnapped of the school girls in Ikorodu, Lagos. Why didn't Ambode tagged the kidnapped to his detractors and political opponents? When stuff like that happens, a good leader put all political sentiments aside and investigate and then find the kidnapped first after seeing them then during ur investigation you will know and tell the public who are the brain behind it. GEJ and his Wife doubted till couple of months until it was really down on him and he confessed it was real. Remember, GEJ did not visit this Girls family in Borno or visit where it all happened until election time when he needed the people after 9months. That was callous. All of you went to sleep and suddenly show up now to talk. Buhari has not even spend 1 year yet and we are seeing sign of serious govt, even without budget. But GEJ spent 6 years with unseriousness and govt direction yet u guys were saying he still need tym he will turn things around. Something he can't do in 6 years, common, let's be reasonable when we think, even with budget after budgets that he got at his disposal, even with oil at well over $120 and yet you guys still have mouth to talk? Buhari was unluckky with all these things at GEJ era, no budget yet, oil price is $40 and he is still not up to one year in office at least we have seen a direction of his govt, don't be bias, why don't you all give him chance too like you did to GEJ? I am not saying Buhari does not have some flaws too but what I am saying is he is far more serious than GEJ. GEJ gave room for everyone to hold his govt to randsome and steal money, they all made him so weak as a leader. All because he does not want to step on toes and wanted all to perceive him good in other to win second term in office yet he failed. Lesson is don't try to please anyone but only God. That is paramount. 1 Like 1 Share |

folks4luv:blowing up pipelines, who will suffer it on the long run? The indigents of that place. They are just doing themselves. Nigeria will suffer on the short run, and they will eventually diversify. But the ecosystem of the Niger Delta will be forever damaged with the continous oil vandalisms and explosions they keep carrying out. They will suffer ehn.... And the worst past is that the rest of Nigeria will not be willing to help them. So, if they like, they can continue encouraging those foolish boys shouting Awa Oyel. When we drop the Oyel, we go see wetin them wan bomb again |

Let the pollution continue, when their environment is no longer habitable they will run to the neighbouring states to become tenants there. They've forgotten that government is like a man with many wives, if one proves stubborn the husband has many others waiting to embrace him. |

Re: Pipeline Vandals Vow Further Niger Delta Attacks by pchukwudi: 4:15pm On Apr 18, 2016 |
Brugo: No. Actually I am asking the government to understand that the cost of peace in ND region is way lower than the cost of anarchy in that region. I am asking the government to learn the simple art of engaging its antagonists in a productive living that would pacify the antagonists and yet ultimately lead to the govt's gain. I am asking the government to be sensitive and human to a people that have been deprived of their ancestoral heritage both in the past, present and in the future. The nation has raped ND for decades. And the gangrape has damaged the fertility of her earth-womb for good. Her kids are desperate and dying and she could no longer sustain them the way she did in the past prior to the advent of the oil plague. I am asking the govt to realise that a quater of the current 800,000 barrels we currently lose per day is way more than enough to use as a bait to engage the ND youths as protectors of govt. properties in those areas. I am asking the govt to realise that any asssault against the ND is an assault on the intergrity of the FG (and reckless battering of its trust-worthiness). That's very damaging to the very foundations of the mutual trust and harmony that had existed in that area for years. And when the chips are down, it may be impossible for the govt. to ever regain that trust again. And no, I am not from ND. |

hornyman: It is stupid to compare Buhari's govt with GEJ's which we consider flawed. A complete departure from the so-called PDP lackluster style of government is what Nigerians look out to see in a Buhari's govt that rode to victory on the change mantra and with high hopes. Nothing from Buhari short of something exceptional will do. Buhari can't tell us he was always fighting to clinch the presidency for years without luck only for him to emerge to come give us all this crap. It's still unbelievable! 1 Like |
