A little googling of convoy rules would enlighten us. The US marine have been known to open fire on people that overtook their convoy. Did you know that if a convoy overtakes you, you are expected to pullover? It doesn't have to be in the constitution, there's something called the highway driving code.

This man is lying I guess! I can smell it even from afar. Just take a look at how he speaks with such arrogant when he made a statement of entering into NASS premises with JUST four (4) cars. I have said it time without numbers that politics and offices of all agents and workers of govt shouldn't be so attractive. Imagine four cars shouldn't have been attached to this man. I can post many more incidents about overtaking armed convoys but this will suffice. Like I said, I don't subscribe to the idea of those aides getting physical with the lawmaker...they could easily have used other defensive driving techniques to block her off the CG's convoy.

Okay, Now I'm not holding brief for the CG of prisons neither am I supporting the actions of the aides slapping the lawmaker. But there are certain things that need to come to light and everyone should take note.

The CG is entitled to have armed escorts. With all the mafias, cabals and terrorist groups running around town and some of them locked up or held in detention, the CG and even his close family members can become soft targets. If one terrorist or ayatollah group whatever that means pick him up, they could jail break their members locked up by the govt.

Now the lawmaker attempted overtaking the CG's convoy at the gate. This, in all ramification, is totally wrong!!! Rules governing military convoys require other road users to treat convoys as a 'single vehicle'. When the first vehicle in the convoy passes an intersection, the other vehicles must be allowed to do so without any interruption. Convoy rules also require other road users to follow at an acceptable distance and can only overtake when the convoy gives permission to do so. Clearly, madam lawmaker driving was seen as aggressive driving and who knows in today's world of espionage and terrorism, the CG's aides were agitated.

Having said that, I don't subscribe to the physical handling of the lady. There are other defensive driving techniques the aides could have used to block off the lawmakers car.

Safety First.

If going by the initial story, that rule is not applicable within the NASS premises. She's within her office, the idea of u can't overtake a convoy can't come to play here. She's more like the Landlord and the CG a guest

My father(a uniform man) once told me that laws are made by the rich for only the poor to obey. And joining the force entitles you to be above these laws as well. That's why uniform men brake the laws they arrest civilians for. If we are to weed this country of corruption, it should start with uniform men (Police which I'm a product of) next should be senators. And you'll be surprised how clean Nigeria will be from corruption.

Really, which part is a lie? Did they ever live in Trans Ekulu? Did they ever block the road with their security detail? Did they make it difficult for others to enjoy their serenity? Did they listen to anyone? Is the wife not loud? She may have been very nice to her friends (at least that's why you are still friends) doesn't make them less of horrible neighbours.
