In the previous part (check my nairaland profile for part 1) I highlighted that men were created to be more sexual than women... And that explained their unusually high sexual urges. The second reason men have multiple sexual partners-

2. Sociological reasons:

The society has accepted men as sexual beings, and as such, it sees men's sexual behaviours as normal. To the society, it's OK for a man to have sex with multiple girls, he's a hero when he does... But a girl is limited to certain sexual/moral behaviours by the same society.

Rightly said, a man who screws all the girls around is cool, or seems cool... But a girl who does the same is labelled a hoe. A man has little moral conscience about how many girls he sleeps with, but a woman has the moral guilt of "sleeping around".

A typical illustration is "virginity". Virginity as a virtue is more morally imposed on girls than it is on men. The society is designed to give women limits as to how sexual they are permitted to be, but it doesn't place so much moral burdens on guys on this subject. When a man easily finds his way with women, it is credited to his "smartness", but when a woman does the same it becomes a spiritual problem.

The society expects a guy to be sexually active, and expects the lady not to be. That's why ladies keep their sexual activities as secret as possible, and men are as loud about theirs as they could be. A man openly boasts about how many girls he has had sex with, because to him, it's pride. A woman is ashamed to admit that she has had sex with multiple people because to her, it's a thing of shame.

The society is designed in such a way that boys lie about how sexually active they are and girls lie about how much they aren't sexually active. Most times girls lie about being virgins when they aren't, because of that feeling moral guilt imposed on them. This moral guilt actually controls a girl's sexual activeness, being that sometimes they could have sexual urges, and even have the opportunity to have sex if they so wished , but then refrain from doing so because they have the guilt of being too active sexually. This moral guilt is however absent in men, because the society accepts their sexuality. A man could as well have sex with the whole world and not feel any sense of recourse about it.

Sex increases a man's self esteem as much as it reduces a woman's own.
