Updating Info...

Question 1:
If the killers are not Fulani, how will creating grazing reserves for the Fulani (in my state for that matter) stop the killers from killing?

Question 2:
National Assembly member Sadiq Ibrahim, who proposed one of the bills quotes the land use act as saying "Subject to the provisions of this Act, all land comprised in the territory of each State in the Federation are hereby vested in the Governor of that State and such land shall be held in trust and administered for the use and common benefit of all Nigerians in accordance with the provisions of this Act", claiming that the land in Bayelsa is for the Benefit of the Fulani also." When it says "for the use and common benefit of all Nigerians" which Nigerians should benefit and at the expense of which Nigerians should the identified Nigerians benefit?

Question 3:
When the Land Use Act was enacted, were the involved stake holders consulted before making such a sweeping act? The stake holders include all the ethnic entities in Nigeria, big or small, which traditionally hold land. Where was the public hearing to examine the law meant to serve the public held? Is it not true that the act was the product of the actions of a military dictatorship? Is this not the reason why it has been said the act MUST be reviewed now in this democratic era?

Question 4:
What is the logic behind desiring to seize lands in States that are non-Fulani states for Fulani Nomads when the Northern states have much more vast lands than our smaller southern states if this is not an ethnic group promotion agenda?

Question 5:
If this is not some ethnic agenda that counts heavily on the stupidity of a vast majority of the nation, how come you say "Don't worry about the guns the killers are carrying. They wont kill anymore. In fact Fulani do not kill. Let us forget about who has been arming them. Let us forget that even without sharing boundaries with Agatu, they attacked and kill the people. Let us just go straight to the part where we create reserves for the Fulani in your state, because trust me, if we do not do that... then remember the killings that have just taken place and know that this is the only solution"?

Question 6:
Is it not more logical as a lawmaker to be more interested in ensuring that the already existing laws that make the crimes of murder, rape and arson committed in Agatu are fully enforced instead of groping in the dark to legislate what will amount to a big nothing if any gun-carrying men decide to attack Agatu again?

This is logically making sense. They want everybody to see the grazing bill as the only solution to end the problem. Unfortunately for those sponsoring such bill, these killings will only make people hate the Fulanis more and detest such bill.

“Your questions are as straight as cigarette”. There main aim of unleashing terror down southern states & MB is just for the people the affected regions to see grazing bill as the last solution to Fulani herdsmen menace, maiming & killing. What people don't understand is that this is spreading of sharia in disguise as championed by buhari. If the southern states can come together & stand up against this bill it won't see the light of the day, southern people needs to wake up & smell the coffee. This is not about party affiliation, this is about saving the generations to come; Fulani's are too domineering & believe me they are fight Our Father's, Us & Our Children in time to come if this bill eventually sees the light of the day.

I never knew that a good chunk of yorubaland have been grazing reserves for more than 100 years now till yesterday's revelation by Baba Uthman the SEC GEN of miyetti Allah.

Beyond these very clear and plausible points, I also see this increase in attacks in the East as a way of making the region appear unsafe and therefore unfit for investment.

We can see clearly that our Anambra, Ebonyi and Abia states have started picking themselves up and attracting viable investment opportunities and gradually our illustrious/wealthy sons and daughters have begun to understand that aku needs to ruo n'ulo.

It goes without saying that the moment the Igbos get their acts together and make the region practically self sufficient, it can only mean one thing, that which they fear most! I believe this is tailored towards destabilising the region but we will not go to sleep!

Our governors need to understand and foster regional cooperation even though Rochas/Imo sticks out like a sore thumb for now...

Nice Questions,I still wonders when a private business becomes a national problem,an Igbo man from anambara will find a lucrative business down North and invest in the business and makes his money to establish himself over there and add so much to the economic growth of the country,I still find it hard why cattle owners can't buy grazing land on there own must everything come from the federal government

I have always known that the recent Fulani invasion on our rural communities is to cajole us into accepting the grazing reserve bill.

Now the northern governors say it is an insult for us to label Fulani as killers.
It is an insult for them to attempt to insult our intelligence that way.
If the Fulani are so bothered about this reputation they are duly earning now,
whose responsibility is it to mop up their act?

If Nigerians want to stop being seen as corrupt by the rest of the world,
with whom does the responsibility lie when it comes to cleaning up our act here in Nigeria.

Declare it is an insult all you want, the truth is if you do not fish out the killers,
If you do not stop them,
If you don't think they should be punished,
If you did not have a press release to speak when they killed innocent people, but organize a meeting now and press release when Nigerians react,
If you did absolutely nothing when others were dying...

You should keep those words to yourself because we do not consider them worthy of our attention.
