As a matter of passion I would say it's a nice career path. I also intend to go that line. Viability in Nigeria? One can't say for certainty. Though my own strong point is that Engineering kick-starts a plant while Economics keeps it running. We have witnesses a lot of industries folding up in the country and the reason, I believe is economics. It is not enough for a plant to have technical feasbility; it must possess economic viability as well. So go for it if it is your passion. I love Plant Economics; I love Engineering Economics.

Chemical engineering in nigeria has to evolve to survive because the trend has moved away from traditional manual operated processes to automation and control modules like SCADA and PLC.

What's do you say about Masters in Engineering Management,MSC in Environmental Toxicology or an M.SC in Process Safety? I have experience working in Maintenance Projects in Nigeria O&G sector. I worked as field HSE personnel before being moved to work full time in the Office as a Project Management Sec. I was considering doing PMP but i don't know if that will enhance my career. I need to change my job fast.

ID ODUOK HAS BEEN MEETING WITH MANY FROM DIFFERENT PART OF THE WORLD
Thanks to technology, I now have the opportunity to meet many from different countries and to provide answers to their questions.
From young chemical engineering students in universities all over the world, to individuals and firms.
1. I take questions on areas bothering on material and energy balance, reaction kinetics and reaction engineering, process and plant design.
2. I assist in waste management - plastic recycling options, developing of biosorbents from agricultural waste and forest residues, generation of energy from agricultural waste using biomass combustors.
3. I design process equipment including adsorbers, distillery, extractors and batch reactors.
4. I analyze the chemistry of biological systems - kidney, heart, liver, lungs, hormones, blood, urine.
5. I handle water safety and food safety.
My strength is in chemical reaction engineering, environmental engineering, biochemical engineering, process design, process safety, mathematical modelling with MATLAB.
I have been reached from anywhere in the country and all over the world through the following channels: facebook page: Engr Id Oduok, Academia platform: https:///dKVTsMH2, linkedIN: https:///dP4BNbe7, quora: https:///du736BeW, blog: https:///df3TiscP
