salam1: They want kanu released unconditionally. If you haven't been to their website you better check it out to see list of their demands. A better Nigeria where there is justice are part of their demands though I am not justifying their actions. |

9ja4show: This is how the north uses politics of hate, suspicion and lies to divide the south so that they can always dominate you all in everything. South ought to unite and stand as one and ask for what is right. The north is busy seeking for oil everywhere in the north, do you think if they find oil in lake Chad, they'll share the money to anyone. Please wake up and stop this division, it would not help the south. |

But you Yoruba's lay claims to Lagos yh? or does Lagos now belong to all Nigerians. Listen Niger Delta is Nigeria and if the militants want to actually cripple Nigeria's economy to zero, they can. Mind you, so many Niger Deltans are sympathetic to their course. We run a mono economy and before now, crude oil accounted for over 90% of the country's revenue. Go to the Delta and see the devastating effects of oil spillage there. The richest region in Nigeria being the SS has nothing to show for it. If Yorubaland happened to own the oil, the reverse would've been the case. Mind you, if the militants want Nigeria to break up and with the igbos on their side, there's little or nothing the FG can do about it. Adminisher: |

The law of karma at play. Someone used bokoharam menace to gain power. Another person will surely use Niger-Delta militancy to unseat him. This vicious cycle will continue until the regions/zones that were forcefully amalgamated finds a common ground which is either seceding the components or confederal system of government. Things are really falling apart. The centre seems not to hold any more. The drama is unfolding. Nigerians are watching. "The New Sheriff", where is he? Hope he is still in town. In this digital age, it's quite nauseating seeing a president making comments that are highly provocative, (proscribing militancy as terrorists and treating them as such) and ethnic remarks ( The concept of 5 and 95%). If he fails to employ diplomacy, fair play, equity, and all inclusiveness, then, he will be making the history as the very last Nigerian president! |
