on the contrary, Lenovo actually release OTA updates to their devices even the budget ones. In 2015 I updated my Lenovo A5000 from kit kat to lollipop 5.0 via OTA, I'm speaking from experience, Lenovo is a reputable brand.

Guy, I think this particular issue is already over-discused in the forum. So I don't think I have any contribution more than those already discussed.

Like I use to tell people, I don't follow people reviews nor their opinion when buying phones. I first bought note 4x and sold it sealed without unboxing.

For your information I am a proud LeEco fanBoy, this is my first Xiaomi phone.

So, go for what suits your needs, please. I don't sell phone.

I came across this thread too late, I would have just purchased this Xiaomi note 4 instead of the infinix note I just bought. It's roughly the same price but the the reviews of Xiaomi made me see that it would be a better choice than infinix. Very soon, I will join you Xiaomen.
