Reboot. Reset to default apn or create a new one. Try a newer sim, ie ,do a welcome back. You may need to check if it works well in a particular location |

I've flashed TWRP, no-verity-opt-encrypt-5.1, and RWR using TWRP.
Dirtyflashed miui stable 9.0.3.0 using RWR to enable OTA updates and I lost neither a file nor data.
And finally,, Magisk..
Everything works fine and I noticed increased fluidity, maybe it's RwR or just a placebo effect.
Miui premium 9.0.3.0 stable is already downloaded and ready to be put to use.
There's this whatsapp group for RN4(x)-mido with geeks, mostly Indians and about 3 Nigerians that I think you will find interesting.
cool one ...also belong to that of R4X... We have the stable too MiUipro 9.1.1 On R4X.... RWr has not been ported ..though will still check...hope h enjoying every every

Finally updated to MIUI 9, everything went smoothly didn't loose a single file until I went ahead and factory reset  . Later found out some of the apps didn't backup well  So far, battery is going on well. I think I noticed whatsapp's double notification. Will update on any new findings later. |

My brother's xiaomi redmi note 4x was recently updated to MIUI 9 & Nougat. Everything has been normal for over a week now when it just suddenly stopped making sounds when ringing. As in just vibration without making sounds at all.
I've tried everything i could think of all to no avail. Could it be a bug? Would a factory reset make it work normally again?
Even the factory reset is not working sef. Whenever I typed in the password, it keeps going back to the previous page.

Please, go check the sound menu and ensure the SILENT and DND are not active. Increase the ringtone and media volume manually, maybe they've been tampered with unconsciously.
You've been advised on what to do about factory reset.
Again, backup your data before attempting the factory reset and ensure your password is correct. It is cAsE sensitive too! If you don't remember the pwd, request for a reset or a reminder. |
