The one at Old market road is more or less their headquarter. There are some other post offices in Onitsha like I was made to know but you'd rarely notice their existence because they're in desolate and dilapidated conditions but they exist, and are functional. Like the one where I picked up my item in Nkpor, I had nightmares each time I imagine my phone sleeping over there over the weekend.

I think it's the post office guys that are trying to scam people with this exorbitant "custom charges". The invoice is clearly from nipost, and someone even said he didn't pay it despite getting the invoice.

I will definitely give them a piece of my mind next time I go there.

Total rubbish, there's indeed foul play here, imagine telling me the amount I bought an item without any receipt as evidence.

My item got to Onitsha post office on Friday 22nd afternoon from Lagos. Went there only to be told to go to the post office close to my residence because according to them, "your item must get to the closest post office in your address before claiming it" even though they admitted to having my package there and then. So in order words, I should chill and wait until I'm called by my "nearest" post office for my item.

That was how I went through the weekend dreaming of my phone ... Long story short, I was finally called today to come claim my device. They weighed it and said that I was lucky; that I would have paid #500 assuming my package got to a certain weight that I cared less to know. I was just thanking my stars that those people working there aren't members of this group to see the outrageous amounts being bandied here as custom fees. Ended up giving them #200 for r'card and that was it.

My Redmi 5 plus is here with me courtesy of Noobody...

This is interesting, so nipost don turn to customs nw abi, they should remember yrs back, wen no one dey collect package nt to talk of posting letters. But thank God for internet, online banking and mastercard.

I won't be surprised if they have a spy on this thread that gives them day to day updates.

This smells like a big scam within nipost and am not surprised it has Ikeja stamp on it cos those people are leeches always want to suck u dry, even for a package dt weighs less than 100g dem wan collect 500. Smh cry

Let's view it this way is it only Xiaomi phones that were focused on lately? If yes then something is wrong some wia.
