You can't get a suitable GCam on playstore, I posted the link for Redmi 7's GCam on XDA forum, download from there.

You can adjust settings of your stock camera like brightness, saturation etc to get better results as well

I just realized that many people don't set beauty to 0 on normal settings. I'm not sure why Xiaomi even set it to 3 on normal settings by default

Switch to selfie camera and tap that button.

Apparently only the back camera UI has the beautify mode but it still should not have been set to 3 by default for the selfie camera.
