Hehehe! A colleague bought a nano liquid screen protector and was hitting the screen with an hammer. Unfortunately for him, a senior colleague advised him not to use hammer but do a drop test on a German floor,he obliged him....the rest na sorry case o. The screen shattered beyond recognition.

I'm a first time xiaomi user, it's been a week since I've gotten the RN8 and to be honest it's been a whole great experience, but sometimes when I wanna conserve battery I do switch my data connection to 3g for some amount of time, something I noticed is that after a while it switches to 2g network automatically and back to 3g, but when I'm on 4g only, nothing like that is happening, I'd like to know how I can set it to 3g permanently without it fluctuating...
The network selection mode works like that of iPhone. If you choose the 3g option, it gives preference to 3g network but when the signal is not available, it switches to 2g, same with 4g. The reason for your flauntation is because 3g signal is not strong in your location for your service provider. There is a code you can use to lock your network signal, to a particular one (it gets reset each time you restart the phone and will have to manually punch it in on your phone dialer)... Learnt ift from Oga Jboixxx and the 3 Gs
*#*#4636#*#*. Punch it in on your phone dialer and wait a few secs
Then phones if your data sim is sim one or two,
You choose the one network mode of your choice. If LTE only is selected, calls will not come into your phone (4g lte is strictly for data only)
You can choose the lte/wcdma option, it locks your phone on 3g or 4g, giving 4g preference but will toggle to 3G if its absentia.
If you choose wcdma only, it locks it on 3g. If no signal for 3g in your location, the network bar will be empty rather than it toggling to other modes.... Kabish?

does that liquid screen protector actually works? I have my doubts, its like rubbing methylated spirit on the screen nd wiping it clean without no visible form of protection. Hows the usage if ure to compare with the regular tempered glass?

I'm sure it comes with tools. You can do it yourself with just small guide from YouTube or give it to a good technician. I prefer opening my devices myself to avoid rough handling/footprints. Stay with them to avoid stories o.....they can miss screws and forget to connect flexes.

I don't know really but nothing technology can't make happen. Some of us must have tried it here; reviews from them will be appreciated. For now, I'll stick with the regular! grin

It is from Xiaomi Nigeria themselves. The person who posted it works for/with them.
