1) Head over to "Settings"

2) Tap and enter "About Phone"

3) scroll down to "All specs"

4) scroll and continuously tap on "internal storage", until you are taken to a menu that says "Testing"

5) Then select the specific SIM you intend to put on permanent 5G.,enter and scroll down, you'll see a drop down option,

6) Just scroll and select "5G" only.

First of all there is no Xiaomi Note 8 Pro what we have is Redmi Note 8 Pro which was released in 2019 and production stopped in 2020. So tell me where do you want to get a new one in Nigeria.

Secondly, Unlike other devices there is hardly "UK"(Very ambiguous term) used Redmi Notes available except a user who wants to sell.

Last of all and very important too, there is a sales thread in the technology market section go there and look for whatever is available and see the one that fits your pocket as this thread is solely a discussion thread.

If you are certain your device actually has 5G, then it's possible your SIM needs to be configured for 5G.

my device get 5g and I am using MTN 5g in my location but it goes off and on from 4G+ to 5G sometimes. In my network settings, there's 5g preferred, 4g preferred.. I want to set it on 5g only, that's what am saying.
