It is either not probably plugged in properly. Or you are using an unauthorised charger

granting access to the root file of obb and data on Android 13 doesn't work, Google restricted it. I am looking at a downgrade to Android 12, if this is possible please how do I go about it?

Clear data of Solid explorer. When you open it it should ask you to grant permission.

Grant permission to your entire internal storage. Not just a particular folder.
