Nigerians brought this upon themselves, everyone should keep kwayet, especially those ones that played a bigger role by voting Apc. Everybody should go home and savour this Change till 2019. By then, thinking logically when next they are close to a polling unit won't be such a difficult task to do.

They wanted fuel to stay at N65, they were protesting a N20 Naira increase, they wanted Jonathans head

Now under Jagaban, Fuel is 10 times that amount and the same people who protested against Jonathan are saying Jagaban is doing well grin grin grin

I tink I hv to sound so tribalistic in dis aspect.
The most useless part of Nigeria is west coast. Imagine a tribe that voted buhari twice and still went ahead to vote and support same party, same man and same political ideology. I hv never seen a region so useless like west coast before

the same people that sponsored these protests against fuel subsidy removal and hike to 100 naira plus then are today the same set of people that has removed the fuel subsidy and hiked the price to 600 naira. wonderful .

They knew fuel subsidy was bad and that it was destroying the nation and economy but because it came as a shock and because most of them were making serious money from that subsidy, they fought against it till the decision was rescinded.
after making enough bastard stupendous money from it for 11 solid more extra years , they now decided to stop it and in order to appear as angels to nigerians.

No, he was right at the right time.

The problem is, Nigerians do not like subsidy removal. Even the partial ones we have been doing for over 4 decades now (and which Jonathan was forced to do, and which Tinubu is doing now)...Nigerians always protested and complained.

The problem is, there is never a right time to remove subsidy as far as the masses are concerned. Even when you do all the explaining in the world, as the GEJ government did....people no go hear.

They knew, but the thing is, politicans are people who have the wisdom of the serpent and the gentleness of the serpent..lol.

Tinubu and Buhari wanted to take power, so they backed the anti-subsidy protests, and moblised their people too. Because they knew that

1.Most Nigerians are opposed to subsidy removal

2.Nigerians would love them if they join in.

And it paid off...in 2015.

Same thing oppositon activists are doing with Tinubu now he has been forced to do partial subsidy removal

At the end of the day, politicans will sacrifice the economy to win elections.

(P.S Tinubu had to remove subsidy partailly because when he took power he had a situation where debt servicing was eating a large chunk of our oil revenue, our effective forex reserve was around 4 billion dollars, and oil prices were not favouring us at all. Even then, he did partial removal. Fuel should be above N900 or more by now if he was serious).
