Really? Data is expensive and streaming don't come cheap, it can deplete your battery fairly quickly, areas with patchy networks means no seamless streaming..

I still think there is a place for radio in smart phones, especially in countries like Nigeria..

My guess will be, the manufacturers believe if you can afford a $250+ android device, then you can afford data for streaming so no point adding a radio..

The likes of Moto G, lower end Sony Xperia phones are usually targeted at developing countries where data is not cheap, so the usually come with radio..
