Niger Delta Avengers on on its tweeter handle at about 8:10AM, this morning, said: “At 11:45PM on Thursday, @Niger Delta Avengers blew up another NNPC Gas and Crude trunkline close to Warri.
Pipeline that was heavily guarded by the military.”
In an earlier tweet on Friday, it described the Niger Delta stakeholders meeting held on Wednesday at Abuja as an insult to the people of the Niger Delta region.
The tweet read, “The Niger Delta stakeholders meeting is an insult to the people of the Niger Delta. What we need is a sovereign state, not pipeline contracts.
“To the International Oil Companies, IOCs and the Nigeria military, watch out, something big is about to happen and it would shock the whole world,”‎ it added.
As at the time of this report, attempts to speak with the NNPC spokesperson, Garuba Mohammad was fruitless while security sources in the area were yet to make confirmation on the alleged attack.
Niger Delta Avengers, NDA, said it blew up another NNPC crude oil and gas ‎trunk lines, near Warri, Delta State, at 11.45 pm on Thursday.
The militant group claimed that the facility was closely guarded by soldiers when its strike team struck.

Ok

What is a sovereign state?

- In international law, a sovereign state is a nonphysical juridical entity that is represented by one centralized government that has sovereignty over a geographic area.

-International law defines sovereign states as having a permanent population, defined territory, one government, and the capacity to enter into relations with other sovereign states.

-It is also normally understood that a sovereign state is neither dependent on nor subjected to any other power or state.

Issues:

- They want to install their people and control our natural resources. E.g Jonathan would be their Prime Minister or President
- MNC's would be paying them taxes and royalties, there would be lots of cash available to them.
- They would still not be richer. Their predicaments would not improve. Even pollution would increase thereby degrading their natural sources of livelihood.
- Issues of legitimacy would arise and the Western powers would do the needful.
- Nigeria and its Army would deal with them accordingly in line with global practise.
- Rise in militancy is expected in the region various groups would emerge for example Bini's, Efik, Esan, Ibibio, Igbo, Annang, Oron, Ijaw, Itsekiri, Yoruba, Isoko, Urhobo, Ukwuani, Kalabari and Ogoni would join the fray.
- Economically, our Naira would still be a unifying currency for Nigeria and the so called sovereign state.
- My brothers from the South East would be divided along the lines of joining or remaining in one Nigeria

What nonsense embarassed embarassed

when some of us said all these negotiations no de work, its as if we don't know we are saying. The FG should not be advised wrongly by the likes of shell and co who just want to keep on exploring oil for their huge profits.

Nigeria must get off oil as no development or blessing can come through the generational curse called oil.

Aren't we all tried of all these problems, militancy today, terrorism and Boko Haram tomorrow. These problems always appear for a reason, they are not just there. Why can't Nigerians come together and ask ourselves what the problem really is? Why is everybody complacent, docile and unconcerned about the national question. Everybody thinks corruption is Nigeria's problem.

The national question is a bigger problem than corruption. How can we live together and share governmental responsibilities without much problems? That is the question.

You voted Buhari to fight corruption. OK, he's fighting corruption but isn't there a bigger problem facing the country now? Militants have reduced government revenues by a quarter all because of what? The NATIONAL QUESTION!!!

Let Nigerians continue to act like they don't care, that we are one fantastically united country and that corruption is our major problem. Militants, Fulani herdsmen and Boko Haram will keep teaching y'all a lesson.

This nation must be restructured for it to survive and proposer. True federalism is the least acceptable option for the Niger Delta people. Every state must be empowered to exploit the resources with him its borders, rather than wait for the resources found in some other regions.

The guys will win more people to their cause if they pursue what will benefit the entire region. The days of paying a few peanuts to our people are over. We want to control our poultry, rather than fight over the eggs.

This is Ipob in action. That group is very powerful but we dont know. We should come together and discuss the basis of our unity rather than call it mere militancy. This was how north and south sudan conflict started.

We yorubas should come out and say the truth otherwise we may not know what those Ibos is cooking until they finish happening.

What the new sheriff should do to stop the destruction are some of the followings:

1. Go to national TV, and withdraw his reckless and divisive statements.

2. Appoint people from every region, giving them a stake in their own country.

3. Free political prisoners.

4. Ensure oil black are given to the owners in the region.

5.Clean up the area.

6. Implement true federalism.

7. Release Nnamdi Kanu unconditionally and apologize to him.

These are some off the things that will make the country safe and good for all...

But if he continues with his winner take it all..he should be ready to use proceeds from ground nut, cocoa and tomatoes, to run his government of 97%...

Let us discuss our staying together as a nation if it's must we will together. That way all can feel good having Nigeria as a nation and show patriotism too. Not shouting one Nigeria from one end to another.

I even sense the more one Nigeria is shouted the more deceit is seen in it and division widens.
