I had my reasons for asking you if you had any idea of the contents of that report. Your response here shows you don't. You see, Nigeria's first problem is her constitution. Chapter II tells of all the duties owed the citizens by the government yet prevents citizens from being able to question the failure of the government to meet these fundamental duties because the court is expressly robbed of that power.

The CONFAB effectively recommends a decentralised government with the regions responsible for their funding and development with agreed shares to the centre. The reason states are in dire straits and unable to pay salaries is that their major source of income, oil, hit the rocks due to price crashes along with kleptomaniac leaders/thieves in power from time immemorial. Now with self development which the CONFAB recommends, there will almost immediate diversification of the economy which the FG has never been successful in. This must happen because not all regions have oil...simple! Therefore they must discover and develop what they do have. Regions having to cater for themseves in smaller units will decide how many administrative units or lgas they need, no more arbitrary creation by the NASS.

The National Assembly is also recommended by the CONFAB to be on part time basis with allowances paid per sitting. This will definitely reduce the amount they control now. With six regions, there will be no need for the over bloated number of NASS members we have now and they will be paid by their regional govts to represent them at the centre.

Developmental needs will be met faster because a lot of things on the Executive list will be shed and the Central govt will mainly control external security covering the Army, Navy and Air Force, foreign/external relations, minting and printing of currency, inter state roads, railways etc. Policing will be purely regional for internal security. A region can easily partner with investors and build refineries, seaports, airports, other critical infrastructure, control and operate them and thus generate revenue for itself.

I cannot go on and on here cos there's so many details but hopefully this gives u an idea. So yes, our current system of govt encourages too much corruption and being as far removed/isolated from the people as they are, it is difficult to demand accountability. And so to answer your questions, it is implementation of CONFAB that will change the mind of those blowing up our pipelines; demand good governance and accountability for all Nigerians as a matter of law and necessity; make Bayelsa, Ekiti, Osun, Yobe, Imo and all other states self sufficient enough to pay salaries and develop speedily and stop us from paying our legislators the highest salary in the world.

The recommendations of the CONFAB do not favour any political party or region so it has nothing to do with PDP.

But late. Alhaji Lam Adesina, Governor of Oyo state(1999-2003) who took Buhari to the cleaners on this herdsmen issue was a Muslim na.
What has changed?

Falae can go to hell with his confab report.
The useless report that gave indigenous rights to Non-indigens . Is this not legitimising the so called herdsmen Especially in the middle belt?
Before we even start talking( not some No go Area)
First question is
Do you want to remain in Nigeria?
If yes, how?
The minimum is autonomous regional government with pocket money to the centre to manage relationships.

Any omoluabi interested can look at Afenifere renewal group take down of the useless confab.

Who says the report must be implemented 100%? It is still subject to modifications. Bring your own suggestion(s) to the table when the time comes but we first have to agree that all is not well with this present structure hence must be changed. The CONFAB report will go a long way in addressing these issues.

It's good that people are waking up and insisting on the implementation of this report. For those that hate truth and refuse to be objective because they have their heads up Buhari's arse, they will end up on the wrong side of history.
The funny thing is that most Nigerians knows what ought to be done for peace & progress of the country but due to greed, selfishness, myopia & covetousness by a section of the country & the cowardice induced support of some others. we have continued to move in circles, stagnation, massive loss of lives & property. As things stand now, the confab report is Nigeria's last trump card for peaceful coexistence & progress. It is really curious & shocking that Buhari will choose to dump it in the dustbin of archive! Whose interest is Buhari serving? Is it that of Nigeria or his ethnic group??

Olu Falae the useless old fool who participated in the mass looting during the last elections

The cross eyed old animal who faked a kidnap by Fulani herdsmen

Useless old bastard. To think that Yorubas supported the fool in 1999 is embarrassing

That rubbish confab report should be thrown into the bin and destroyed

A report that will give non indigenes the same rights , opportunities and access that indigenes have is a big fat NO. A stupid report that eliminates the State of Origin of Nigerians is rubbish and only benefits the parasites in the country

Useless old falae

Falae made No point. Its strange how nigerians react to issues. Pple that are calling for confab implementaion now, are not sincere, they actually don't know what they want. My question is why didn't Gej implement those parts of d confab reports that didn't require Legislation, before he was shown d way out? Its so terrible that, the pple that didn't vote for PMB are d ones that want PMB to solve all their problems, just in One year. Hypocrisy at its peak. PMB,has not got it right,Yes; but he still have more than 2yrs to mend things. Failure to make positive changes, means that PMB will Not have my vote come 2019. Presently PMB is failing, but he has d chance to correct himself;this is why I say,he's lucky, that constructive criticizisms are coming his way earlier in his administration. Unfortunately for Gej, it was praises all through, untill the tale end of his administration.

But corrupt practices multiply in Nigeria, as seen in the recent padding of the 2016 budget right under Bubu's nose, until sharp eyes noticed the budget padding.

Sai Buhari, Sai Zombies. Until you agree to reform Nigeria toward true and fiscal federalism, you must continue to cry about hyper corruption in Nigeria.

There are some issues we need to use our IQ before we comments, first of all where is it in our constitution that a group of people should come out with a report on how the president can rule us??

Is it legal for the presidency to listen to this people?? 80% of people that came out with this reports are from previous government....

Why is GEJ that inaugurated the conference don't implement the confarb report??

Leave PMB nd his team to do their work nd let Nigerian judge after four years.

Implementation of confarb report is illegal coz there is no basis for such in our constitution.

Postpone the Nigeria misery for another four years until PMB finishes four years -- that's what your intelligence you bloat about here is all about.

That constitution you rely upon was progressively supervised by military dictators from northern Nigeria who were wearing AK 47 as they breathed upon the necks of the constitution drafters.

In a normal country, that constitution should have been redrawn immediately after 1999 when civilian government came in.

Nigeria's political structure of 36 states and Abuja was created by northern Nigeria soldiers only. They wrongly used land mass as yard stick to create the states and proliferated a whooping number of 19 states and hundreds of local government areas in the once one northern region. The two southern regions they marginalized with a meagre number of 17 states.

But using its undue large number of states created in the north through which it draws undue large number of legislators and state houses of assembly, the north of Nigeria has successfully resisted all attempts to redraw the constitution.
