what the Federal Government needs to do if they are sincere is, first withdraw the license to those oil wells in the Niger delta then relocate at least 50% of the oil wells to them and the remaining 50% to others for peace to reign cos you can't continue to rub peter to pay Paul.

My take on this issie is that Buhari came in to change the old ways but the old ways want his Government frustrated in order to deceive the people into believing nobody can rule Nigeria well. If indeed their reason for detonating bombs planted randomly on pipelines is because of the sins of past Governments why not allow Buhari apply his change agenda before destroying everything?

What I witnessed recently in a gathering of presumably responsible mid aged men in Port Harcourt sent chills down my spine. They all unanimously want Buhari to fail so as to justify Jonathan's failure and that of our past leaders. Nigeria especially Niger Delta is ripe for a war and it is left for these elders to make or marr the volatile peace we're enjoying at the moment.

What genuine effort is being made to diversify? Lets stop decieving ourselves, except the government is forced to diversify when they are left with no alternative, they will continue to pay lip service to it. Every state in Nigeria has one mineral resource or another they can export or even agricultural goods. Better still, there could be agreement between FG & oil states that resource control will be implemented gradually by increasing the percentage anually till fully done while other states will use the period to aggressively pursue alternative means of income.

Nation's source of income? Can you hear yourself? Was groundnut regardEd as nation source of wealth ? Or it was northern region's wealth? The use of force cannot solve the problem now. This is actually the purpose of all the bombings, it is political and not about the issues of federalism or what have you, reason they called themselves the avengers, they actually avenging the loss and failure of their son GEJ. Anybody who is thinking they are actually serious about their demands on paper is just ignorant. This is a political war to pay PMB back and we know it but how far they will succeed is only a matter of time.
