The joys of An Indian couple, "Kaur 72", and her husband" Mohinder Singh Gill", 79 who have been married for over 47 years and have been trying to conceive, knew no bounds as they finally welcomed their first baby into the world
on April 19 with the help of a fertility treatment.

The couple had to travel six hours from their home in Amritsar, Punjab, to the National Fertility and Test Tube Baby Centre regularly, where Kaur endured multiple rounds of in vitro fertilization, a procedure that manually combines an egg and sperm to create an embryo that is inserted back in the uterus.

According to Dr. Anurag Bishnoi, who runs the fertility clinic said he tried to avoid the case because he felt she was weak but her medical reports showed she was fit to conceive.

“I first tried to avoid the case because she was very weak, but then her medical reports were normal and she was fit to conceive.”

Kaur and Gill did not only beat the odds by having a child at their age, they also have both surpassed the average life expectancy in Punjab. The average man there only lives to about 70 years old, while women usually live until 72, according to data from the Indian government.

The 72-years old mother had this to said after the birth of her son: “When we saw the (IVF) advert, we thought we should also give it a try as I badly wanted to have a baby of my own. It was very important for us. My life is complete. I can live happily now.”
The baby weighed two kilogrammes (4.4 pounds) at birth and has been named "Armaan", by the couple who are confident that God would watch over their child even after their death.

Who says, GOD cannot answer prayers?
" GOD's time is the best, not too early, and never late, it takes a little patience and He's never late, but it's definitely worth the wait".
