President Buhari Condemns The Orlando Terrorist Attack by 360jamng(m): 2:44am On Jun 14, 2016

President Buhari has reacted to the Orlando Nightclub shoot where a gunman killed 50 people and wounded 53 more in a massacre that has since been termed a terrorist attack. In a letter to the Ambassador of the United States in Nigeria, James Entwistle, and signed by the Chief of Staff to the President, Abba Kyari, Buhari conveyed Nigeria’s heartfelt sympathy to President Barrack Obama and the people of United States of America.
He also assured the United States of Nigeria’s continued support and cooperation in the fight against terrorism.Part of the statement reads,
President Buhari extends his most sincere condolences to the families, relatives and friends of the victims.
The President condemns such criminal, cowardly attack, wherever it might occur, as an attack on all decent, democratic, peaceful people.
Every terrorist attack only strengthens Nigeria’s resolve to stand shoulder to shoulder with the United States and other countries in the frontline of the war on terror.
President Buhari also calls on all peace-loving nations to commit themselves whole-heartedly to multilateral cooperation and collaborative actions aimed at eradicating the scourge of international terrorism.

"Learn to respect other people's religion". I expected him to have said that to the jihadist

Quick to condemn attack on another man's country and slow to condemn attack on his people when the unfortunate happens in Naija.

It is well, Nigeria.

Sometimes the hypocrisy of our Leaders is just disgusting.

Fulani Herdsmen have massacred innocent Nigerians along the length and breadth of this Nation and it took, 'OUR' president forever to release an official statement condemning these acts...

They have also been scores of extra judicial killings in Kano and other places, and I can't remember reading any official condemnation from the Presidency.

Now the Question is, 'Is the life of a Foreigner worth more than that of a Nigerian?......

Condemning an act may not necessarily restore things to status quo, but may reassure the citizenry that the government is responsive to its plight.

You may not be concerned today because your immediate family or who you know is not involved, but pray the tables do not turn tomorrow and you start singing a different tune...

Condemning the terrorist attack in Orlando is good. But like somebody said, "Charity begins at home"....
