I received an airtime deduction from my gtbank account illegally...I guess its some scammers on the loose. I have gone to withdraw my millions from that account and have personally frozen that account until further notice . Can't afford to loose 1naira in this change government

They sent N800 SMS charge for 1 month & i was like 'how many alerts i got this month'?.

Those guys are thieves.

note that no bank in Nigeria is safe but GTB and their stupid charges is worst.

Gtb is same and save, try check the phone no u register with them if u are still using the line, cos I bought a glo line at Abuja airport one time and first bank sent me sms that I can get money through my acct which I don't av acct with them, fortunately for me I sent the code to get 1000 naira credit but the owner of the acct will be debited. but my conscience always not at peace for that action. so check on the phone u register with them.

You ve explained your own, now explain this below. I got dis yestarday but see the date on it and this is what everyone is complaining about. Sudden debit sms for airtime one didn't even buy.

If u value ur time, don't waste it...
They will frustrate you with stupid explanations that don't add up...
In the end, u will have no choice than to just leave them...
Its better you move out your funds for now till we fan get CBN on their tail

Firstly, do you buy airtime from gtb if no, go to the bank. But if yes, cross check the date of transaction in the alert and phone number. Then check your sms archive with the date to see if you really bought credit that day.

I got the same alert and it turns out that i really did buy credit. So just check first.

GTBank is turning into desperados! I got this message from them:
Dear Customer, you have been pre-qualified for our automated salary advance. For instant access, simply log on to Internet Banking or dial *737*8*1# to apply.
As my salary account is domiciled with them, I tried the code only to be to told to enter the amount of airtime advance I need.
A colleague of mine got the same message and when he got to their office, he was told that he cannot get a salary advance since his account is savings.
I then asked did they not know that his account is savings before sending the message or are they on blind marketing?
