You are receiving this email to intimate you that Afrinvest stockbrokers have started deducting money from your account without your consent. They plan to deduct from 20 000 Naira upward annually! How do they plan to do this?

In March 2009 they sent an email intimating clients that as an apparent response to the global financial crisis they will start charging what they call management fees broken down into different types.
It is important to know that the only recognised charges that should be borne by investors are the statutory commissions as stipulated by Security and Exchange Commission (SEC). The fees they are introducing now are not part of your contractual agreement and not recognised by SEC and thus fraudulent!

To justify this they have alluded to the global financial crisis as the reason. Can you fathom that? Which investor is not affected by the same global financial crisis? You or me? We all are and instead of the Afrinvest management to help investors by formulating strategies that will ameliorate the pains and sufferings they plan to kill the investors once and for all.
Just to let you know that since last year Afrinvest unlike other stockbrokers have started charging you for things like re-validation of stale warrant, confirmation of certificates and bonuses etc services that you normally would expect to enjoy free of charge!

Please be part of a good cause to stop this unwarranted institutional fraud by showing your displeasure. How to do this:

Plan A: Mail your account officers showing your displeasure. Ask that the decision to charge be reversed immediately
Plan B: Move your account. To do this request for inter-bank transfer forms from any stockbroking firms of your choice and have your account moved. IT WILL NOT COST YOU ANYTHING.
Plan C: To petition SEC

Lets stand up to institutional fraud. Let say NO to this.
