After I watched the recent video of police brutality, I have asked myself if there is any other national institution as rotten as the Nigerian Police Force. There have been few cases where they have risen to the occasion to save someone or do something heroic but that is their job: protect and serve. They have rather done more brutalising and arresting innocent citizens for no reason at all than their actual jobs.
I don't think any other national institution should be closer to the ordinary citizens than the NPF especially when it concerns protection. However, they have used their authority to oppress and lined their pockets.
Shame to NPF.
I believe if Nigeria as a nation can get the police right, a lot of things starting with corruption and kidnapping will be begin decline.
The Nigeria Police Force is the most rotten institution in Nigeria. That's my opinion.
